Jeju island well known as a beautiful resort island located in southmost of South Korea .

Whilst actually the history of this town is deeply connected with the one of South Korea .
The Korean residents of this town are mainly from Jeju island . The beautiful island twice turned into the Hell . One was "Jeju 4.3 Massacre" . Another was "Bodo Massacre" ; a series of nationwide crackdowns from 1950 .
After WW2 , Korean peninsula was divided by Soviet and America . Both Korea established puppet regimes respectively . Syngman Rhee of South and Kim Il-sung of North was in the charge .
Syngman Rhee placed establishment of South Korea before unification . Because that would cause a division of Korean race , a number of people opposed to it . The representatives were Kim Koo , Kim Kyu-sik and Lyuh Woon-hyung ; They were assassinated by pro-"Syngman Rhee" group .
> Public moods where people were opposed to "Division of Korean race" , were increasing . Then Syngman Rhee started to crack down as he labeled them as "spy of communism" to restrain people who wanted unification . The measures he took were assassination and acts of intimidation by Korean yakuzas .
There were groups of outlaws in Korean peninsula under Japanese rule who were smuggling and dealing illegal drags and other products and were having huge networks .
After WW2 Syngman Rhee took the Korean yakuzas in and made them establish 大韓民主青年同盟 and took a post of honorary chairman . Whilst the actual leader of it was Kim Du-han who was a big name in underworld and executed the crackdowns ; Later he became a lawmaker of South Korea . Also Syngman Rhee ganized 西北青年会 with yakuzas and young people who fled from North to South Korea .
The Syngman Rhee ordered members of 大韓民主青年同盟 and 西北青年会 who did even not have resident registers to assassinate and to intimidate those who were disagree with him , without police and army in use ; which could leave no clue of his unlawful acts . But America even recognized the 2 organizations .
