Do you call your mom and dad by their first names?

And if you call your mom/dad by their names you're not human at all.

Of course. only little children and babies call parents "mom" and "dad".

godless country

>go to white american kid's house
>"CAROL!! I'M HUNGRY"
>his mom brings us chicken tenders
calling my parents by their first names feels like heresy, can't imagine the dynamic in that household

I call my mom "Mama" my dad "tata" my grandpa "deda" and my grandma "baba"

I guess ....
Japanese is/was of polytheism where every single thing has a soul . So even abstract thing has a soul . for example , 言霊 literally means soul of word .
When word had a soul , the word would have some kind of power . So ancient Japanese never call anyone with its real name . maybe that could still remain to an extent.

I agree, I started calling them "mother" and "father" instead. Siblings I use only their name, feels weird to call them "brother" or "sister".

I call all "oh"

>Asian country
>South-American country
>mutt country
i'm starting to notice the pattern which people do not call their family by names.

BANKAI

We use different language depending based on our ages

childhood
パパ papa、ママ mama、お父ちゃん otouchan、お母ちゃん okaachan、父ちゃん touchan、母ちゃん kaachan

after Adolescence
父さん tousan、母さん kaasan、おふくろ ohukuro、おやじ oyaji、母ちゃん kaachan、父ちゃん touchan

I kinda understand, but it is seen as disrespectful here calling your parents by your first name, which most of the times signals you have a bad relationship with them.I had a friend who did so and he would get 24/7 beatings and spankings from his parents

what kind of snot calls their parents by their name?

Why didn't you call police?

it's oyaji for me

Wtf, calling parents why their name is fucking rude.

Based

Because I was a fucking child back then?

Do they call their
Sister onee-san?

Yeah and they call their brother onii-sama~
it's quite weird.

are you adopted?

I call my parents mommy and daddy and I’m 23 now but I’m not gonna stop because that’s what I’ve always called them.

Disgusting subhuman whitoids, culture and ideals drained by Jewish American media

I'm 31 and same. Imagine being so autistic you call your parents by their first name

hi muhammad.

Jews call their families dad and mum as you can see by our american posters.

Its a form of closeness. I call my mom, dad, sister, brothers and yes even cousins by their nickname including "mumma", "pa", "cousin", "schves", "bro" etc. etc. etc.

Not Japanese I just love my family

HOME SWEET ALABAMA

>pronounce it mum
>spell it mom for some reason

Most of Japans didnt even had names untill Meiji revolution (only samurais had), so thats anticipated language feature

Calling parents by their name is rude here.
