yep. since stuff like 25x25 or 44*68 is too "mainstream", they've started moving to triple digits as well all the while completely surprising you after a preceding question that was relaxing and unrelated.

Easy way to do this in your head is 43 x 100 which is 4300, then you divide this outcome by 4

4000 divided by 4 is obviously 1000 and 300 divided by 4 is 75.

Your answer is therefore 1075

reverse engineering a solution like that in the moment for me is probably more difficult than doing outright. I would have done 20 and 5 times 40, that's 800 + 200. then comes the 25 x3 that's 75

Here's a quick way to do it brother.

I would do 25x40...shit what's that though?

Try again, 20x40 = 2x4= 8 and add the two zeros = 800.

So now we are left with 5 x40 which is simple enough 200.

So 800 + 200 = 1000.

And all we have left is 25x 3 since we didn't do that yet, which is 75.

So 1075. I hope you learnt something new today frend.
