Comfy bot

After 1 year of learning programming and 6 more months of wrtiting a bot, a backtester and a datafarmer I think I finally succeeded and results exceed my expectations.

It makes 75% of its profit anytime the crypto market drops, could be like tonight were we went from 280m to 270m market cap total. Tests seems to show that its decent in extreme drops too.

Heres a good example of a backtest out of sample result for 10 days (7-16 june)with only 16000$ capital. (Gives very realistic results, I went throught a lot of bias/pitfalls when making it)

Formulas could be wrong, I dont even have highschool level math.

Forgot to say that its live for 2 weeks and doing exactly as the backtests.

concurent count max is broken

So do you want a medal or something?

No but I can give advices, just not the actual strategy.

>Trades: 117
what about (((commissions)))?

All factored in, also as quite of a big slippage added but it uses limit orders to buy and for a part of sells.

*has quite

What language did you use and what sort of resources did you use to start this whole thing? This doesn't work on arbitrage does it?

Congrats, pal.

It trades shitcoins pairs against BTC to increase BTC capital, does this qualify as arbitrage?

I juse nodeJS, theres better ones for building this sorth of things but I only know JS and I like node.

>what sort of resources did you use to start this whole thing?

This is very broad, anything specific?

market maker?

I see, I know vanilla JS quite well so I assume implementing node would be quite easy. It's all done on the same exchange I assume so no it's not arbitrage.

How many pairs does your bot comb, how do you deal with latency issues and competing bots sniping the deals before yours reaches them, where did you learn about the algorithms needed? Sorry for the amount of questions, I've always been interested in building a bot just for fun.

How hard is it to male your own backtester. (A legit one that isn't vector based)

download link?

No problem, those are good questions and I see you look interested so I can tell to go for it.
As a personal project it was simply incredibly fun to work on

.>implementing node
I personally took the Wes Bos learn node course, it costs money but he has best production. Maybe too web based but I found it was great.

>How many pairs
Shitcoins are all so correlated that choosing how many pairs goes more by liquidity than fundamentals. my strat better uses 50-80 pairs that I found gives good backtests(this is an imperfect assumption since everything is so young and coins can get better than other in the future)

Another start could do BTC/USDT only.

>how do you deal with latency issues and competing bots sniping the deals before yours reaches them
I dont think I miss opportunities because of latency but I need to check into this more, have just been fixing bugs until now.

Its looping over time series of pairs in order so I assume is Vectorized?

I could pretty much express all my trading ideas, I don't think i could be more realistic for my strategy. The thing is I need to tailor a bit of a new versionfor each strats, it takes a lot of code but I have lots of time and I like the complete control,

Also be prepared to lose money at the start.
r/algotrading is good

would you sell the bot?

No one would sell a profitable bot.

I will like to hire you to write me some bots, how much $ would you like?

You already know your strategy work?

It's for websites (running / spam), not for crypto.

I could only take very small projects right now.

Interesting, tell me something about them.

you got lucky and will be losing all your money when the tides turn, have fun

i have lots of experience and trading bots are not profitable long term. you can get good results short term, but you'll lose it.
but hey good luck with your 75% daily returns and overthrowing bezos in 2 months

They're not doing so because they'd rather invest in BCH adoption. BCH adoption is skyrocketing while btc adoption is dropping.
In a few years both St Kitts and Antigua will use BCH as their main currency (Roger is working on St Kitts, Calvin is investing in Antigua more money than their GDP exclusively because of BCH adoption), Craig Wright will increase transaction counts by circumventing corrupt governments in Africa for money transfers (this one is not certain but very possible considering his funding), Roger is speaking to VIP-s every other day, including Japanese bank CEO-s, stock exchange owners, etc. Brian Armstrong will push BCH and shit on BTC subtly every chance he gets, bitcoin.com wallet is the most popular mobile wallet and it literally shits on BTC, propaganda/censorship effects are fading, Purse just added BCH meaning that normies can use it to get 20% discounts on amazon, Koreans love BCH and they seem to matter at least as much as Americans and significantly more than eurofags, miners are looking for ways to destroy BTC in the next few years otherwise their profits will crumble, LN is proving more and more of a failure every single day, Wright will patent-troll startups into moving into BCH, tipping on github is now possible with bch, smart contracts are coming in November, stress tests are a massive success, charities are popularizing BCH in struggling countries (Venezuela today, others will join in if trouble arises), Free Society project is progressing well, Circle is adding BCH next few weeks, Ayre who became a billionaire from gambling is going to create BCH-only online casinos

I just showed one of the best out-of-sample results, literally a slice. I know systems stop working, certainly even faster in crypto. You gotta keep tweaking.

If it continues like this its about 0.3% per day, not 75%.

Nice job, OP. I wrote a bot with Python and Node a few months ago and have been tweaking it ever since. So far I've turned 0.6 BTC into about 32 so a nice 60x in the last 6 months. If you do well and start talking about it, be prepared to be called a larp. Also prepare for sociopathic anons to try to piss you off in a way to get you to reveal your algo to "prove" yourself. When it happens, just laugh

This. Why bother with a shitty trading bot when 1 bch is going to make you a millionaire. Thanks man

do you use TA?

I do

Would you mind telling which?

Bollinger and another one, I dont want to say too much.

no bot will be profitable forever unless you adjust it according to the current market
i guess you just bought a bot that worked two weeks but then stopped because you weren't competent enough to adjust it to a different market

I have a couple of main indicators I use. The first is the super secret special sauce but the second one is loosely based on BB. I don't think the traditional EMA formula is well suited to crypto since the market is highly manipulated and moves too fast so I wrote my own and I don't think 2 sd from the mean is very useful. Regarding the latter, I use something in a similar vein but still a bit different. For the other indicator, it's a little something I cooked up that I haven't seen anyone use before. Works quite well though so I suspect it'll be discovered eventually. Good for crypto, shit for stocks hence why it's underground. So, OP, you design your own indicators or use a library like TA-lib?

Pretty sure we use sd the same way
I havent modified the other indicator. Still using a library for now because I have things more urgent.

Got an email to trade ideas back and forth? I'll be working on one thanks to this thread, I have more than 75 days of freetime.

Is that course beginner friendly you think? I have done a little programming in the past but it's been a while

You need a decent JS base, I learned using freecodecamp, stopped after front-end.
