The n64 had some really great games, but they were like a dozen. Then you have to pad the list with mediocre titles. Also there were several whole genres missing on the platform (like racing sims, classic jrpgs, graphic adventures, strategy, etc).
PSX on the other hand had like 100 must play titles, and like another 100 of decent enough mediocre ones.
Lets be honest, if you were in cell for the rest of your life and could only have a psx or a n64 with their entire libraries, you would choose the psx.
The psx is the true successor to the snes with all those jrpgs.

gran turismo is boring, jrpgs are all the same, there werent any good graphic adventure/strategy games for psx

As a poor 29 year old boomer whose grandfather just died, I am looking to invest my inheritence.
