>be me
>2014
>boyfriend of a girl I know gets rich off BTC
>Tells it to everybody and their mom
>buys a house and car
>every time I see him he's shilling BTC and how he made it
>I hate the guy not only because of him having made it but him being an arrogant son of a bitch who never worked a day in his life and is now rich thanks to internet money
>I hated BTC since I knew about it since 2009 but never invested
>today I remembered all these feelings I had
I know exactly how boomers feel when we talk about crypto guys. They come from a place of envy and regret. I still hate the other guy I mentioned though. What I learned from all of this is to never talk about anyone saying you're in crypto. Believe me, it'll save your ass from a lot of trouble. Any story about having met guys who made it and how you felt when you heard about it?
I was once a boomer
Why do you hate successful people OP? Are you a communist? Are you a socialist? People took risks that many would not to make it in crypto. Just because you cannot bring yourself into making life changing decisions due to your low IQ doesn't mean everyone who makes it is an asshole. I have friends who work harder than me, but are no where near my success. They are angry at themselves. I told them to buy, and they brushed it off.
Yep, that's why Warren Buffett, that Cuck of wall street faggot and other boomers hate it so much. They want it to fail so bad just so they can say they were smart not to touch it lol. It's pretty fucking sad.
>People took risks that many would not to make it in crypto.
spending $100 to invest in crypto in 2014 is not a risk.
How rich Is he exactly?
It's your fault. When he became rich in 2014, you could have thought, "Gee, let me investigate and do my own research on what he is talking about before I make my own conclusion".
But no, you used the first excuse as a confirmation bias. And don't worry, I did the same thing lol. I read about it on a forum where some guy said "It's a scam it's not backed by anything."
If only I didn't read that and I read another faggot saying DUDE IGNORE ALL FUD AND RESEARCH THIS SHIT
Not that rich. Maybe around 800k at the time.
we're saying the same thing user. I just came to the realization of how these people think about all of this and why they won't take a risk themselves.
>being jealous over somebody with 800k
lmao that's like an upper middle class professional's net worth... imagine how sad your life must be to be butthurt over someone else having 800k
This. The first time I heard about bitcoin was around the time of the Silk Road bust I think. Didn't exactly sound legit lol. Literally didn't hear/see ANYTHING about bitcoin/crypto after that so basically just thought it died off and forgot about it lol. Last year I heard about people whining about GPU prices going up because of crypto and was like wtf? They're still around? And started looking more into it. Almost kys'd myself after I realized I should've looked into it fucking years ago lol. Fuck man. Didn't turn me into a FUDster though. I can admit I was just too fucking lazy to look into it more after I heard about the Silk Road bust. Regret it every day for the rest of my life propably.
That's a fucking lot for your average guy. Fuck.
>having the pleasure of knowing about BTC before it hit 1k
Fuckers. I didn't get find out about it until it was like 1.5k. Wonder if I would have invested had I the chance earlier. I like to think so. Although watching it go to 2k and higher was unbelievable the entire way. I bought and sold a bunch of times on the way up. I remember thinking 5 - 7k was the absolute top and no way it could go any higher. 20/20 hindsight.
