You can be educated to speak it as your accent, as tended to happen, but it doesn't make it any less of a meme accent that was constructed by American aristocracy.

Quebec French doesn't really have particularly noticeable dialects, except perhaps the Magdalen Islands. It has some minor ones (e.g. Saguenay), but nothing compared to what cunts like Denmark or Germany have.

At least our general dialect is interesting in itself, I guess.

A lot of people seem to also believe that any historical figure with a non-rhotic accent spoke "Trans-Atlantic" English. I've seen people describe JFK's (New England) accent as such.

Don't you guys pronounce some words in a manner that's sort of antiquated for Metropolitan French speakers? Also I know there are some noticeable differences in informal vocabulary and the degree of anglicization.

It's definitely not as common as it used to be. I speak similarly (I don't know why) and people often tell me that I sound British.

I remember liking the way people spoke in old movies/radio when I was a kid, so maybe that's a factor. Also I started articulating my consonants to make my words more comprehensible when my voice dropped, so that might be another factor.

lol we have no dialects, everyone literally speaks the same way whether you're in western jutland or copenhagen.

there are not many dialects, the generic is Vic/NSW, and the Queensland and South Australian dialects/accents are basically the generic but a bit more "bogan"

the diction is mostly British English with a few changes over 200 or so years

it's the same as standard danish, there's no difference.
the only other "dialect" here is probably götudanskt in faroe islands.

We have 2 main dialects, aukštaičių and žemaičių (highlander and lowlander)

Aukštaičių is the standart lithuanian dialect everyone uses

Žemaičiu is the village dialect
