What if the Americas weren't settled by Native Americans when Europeans (Norse) found them in the 11th century? How would the Americas look like today if they had been settled first by Euros?

bump

uninhabited, mostly

Why?

scandinavians only survive in snow, snow is in the north, everything below is tropical and warm, and reaching Patagonia would have take decades

Yeah, populating South America would probably be more difficult and not as attractive but I don't think North America would be difficult for them. Most of it is relatively temperate until you get to southern Mexico and Florida. In any case I don't think Nords would be the only ones to come, Brits and French and other Europeans would probably start coming too.

another bump ;-;

It would have been filled with white first world nations but the mixing with shitskins and the iberian languages made all countries from mexico to shitle third world brown shitholes filled with mrstizo abomination

All of the new world would look like Canada and the US

Norman Sicily.

I wonder how they would relate to the Europe in this timeline. They would be much older than modern American nations and might even have their own languages.

It would be worse, europeans are savages

another bump T-T

Most of the Americas would of been populated by slaves to work the land. Latin America (assuming Spain and Portugal still colonized it) Would be a huge mullato empire without any natives to be serfs.

Paradise probably

Europeans didn't use African slaves at the time yet, though.
Wonder how similar the areas that would be populated by Nords be to modern Scandinavia.

Are you assuming that Euro empires would be content with no profit colonies? The colonies had to provide something to the colonizer. Without tens of thousand of slaves no one is gonna mine the silver and gold. No one is going to grow the cash crops.

But we're talking 11th century here

What does that change? If they had the ability to sail thousand of miles, they will want profits. The Euros didn't use slaves prior to colonization because there was no point when you have millions of serfs already in Europe.

But remove that, and they will want them. The Europeans wouldn't give a fuck about leaving a white ethnostate in the Americas, they wanted money. Unless you wish away Blacks out of existence aswell.

There were millions of serfs when Africans were enslaved during the colonial era, yknow

Why wouldn't they use serfs or European slaves instead? Nords had Irish slaves

>Already in Europe
They're in Europe, and will not willingly leave for the colonies in droves to fill the demand.

How do you plan to move them in droves to the colonies? In OTL they moved gradually, no one will want to leave their cushy village to work in the blistering sun or excavating with no incentives (No monarch is gonna let the serfs get an equal share in this early in history). 11th century, 15th century. There will be no difference man. If they were to start enslaving in mass to fuel the colonies, you can bet the Christians would put them all to the sword.

Africans were such a large source since they had no large political entity to stop the Euros.
