For me american english is kinda true english while anglos and aus have accents

sure, i find british accent too weird

Kinda nasal

English is my second language and i can hardly understand most British people. Scottish and Irish? Forget about it.

But it's a little harsh and where I live very nasal. Some people used to sound like they were barking before I learned.

>the American accent
Which one?

It sounds amazing, honestly. More Americans should learn French.

We don't have one accent.

This map is true about Northeastern PA.

People in the southern part of the lower Michigan peninsula don't sound very different.

This map is biased as they only use really old people to make their map.
Otherwide West and Northeast would be pretty much the same and the Southern accent has been significantly weakened in cities

what am i looking at

It sounds awful, but we appreciate the effort that you make to try and speak Hebrew.

>most of newfoundland and labrador, nova scotia, and pei all have the same accent
brainlet map

Newfoundland is represented as different and considered Irish
The map is pure autism, but at least make your criticisms make sense.

>American accent sound in your language?
what?

English accents never sound good in German.

it sounds like you're from Leiden

Only the tiniest portion of it is marked. My family is spread all over NFLD and they don't sound like nova scotians or islanders

British sounds better

:(

I wonder what's the general accent I associate with Americans. I think Boston and MN accents don't sound like they are furthest away from the general accent.

British English used to sound like the default accent to me but not any more.

I'm from deep south usa and learning Japanese, how retarded is my accent going to sound to natives?

Midlands (Iowa, Nebraska, etc) is our "neutral" accent. Back in the days of live telephone operators they were trained to speak it to be understandable. Then it carried over to Hollywood for the most part, so if you watch a lot of our movies or tv, that's probably what you're getting.

Yeah I love how educated bongs sound but their regional working class shit is a mess.

I love American accent. English-english is absolutel reatarded, I can't understand most of it.

Here's this map with audio samples of each accent for anyone curious

You have to go back.
