Nimiq

Why is it still so under the radar?

It's weird it still didn't get 51%'d

Skypool are good players. Perhaps people realise that this isn't a shitty product.

bump

Jow Forumstards don't buy good coins with very low marketcap that have never pumped, they prefer to buy bags of ERC20 tokens at the top after massive shilling by streetshitters.

Because it is indeed a good product, so people are still accumulating.

I've been following this coin for a few months now, watching the weekly dev videos, following community projects, I've been mining it a bit because it's so easy to do. Community projects are popping up every week, people finding new use cases for the coin.

Argon2 algo can't be 51%'d. It can't even be 99%'ed. Lamo.

>Efforts on getting Nimiq listed on exchanges—some of which are P2P—have lead to first results and are still in progress. In parallel, community efforts such as Nimex.app have been set up making use of the atomic swap ability with Ethereum. Both approaches allow Nimiq users to buy, sell, and exchange NIM already. Given this fact, we have decided to lower the priority of building another custom P2P exchange platform in favor of putting resources towards essential payment interfaces and processes such as the Nimiq Safe, Wallet and NIM check-out process.

This honestly makes me hype.

This.

Bloody good project, I have invested since the ICO, don't care if I lost a bit, I bought more recently, I'm so hiped by its potential. I will hodl for at least 2 years

I realize that I sound like a pajeet shill but damned, an $8 M market cap project with Ledger integration and an already working mainnet and it's still under the radar! I don't get it

I have 2300NIM, mining about 100 more each day. Am I gonna make it?

I actually bought a few computers to mine NIM with, because Argon2 is so GPU resistant, it gives new miners an edge because the big boys with their eth mining rigs can't switch over to mining NIM. I usually mine about 50KH/s on average and make 300NIM a day.

I've been mining off a shitty tablet and a couple of work computers for a while. Need to get my desktop machine optimized for mining as well.

i have 2m nims, am i a whale?

Yes.

Gib NIM pls.

Also, what's your mining setup like?

Cos that Fucking logo screams pajeet.

>buying a book for its cover

sasuga Jow Forums

Funny thing is that pajeets gets recklessly bullied on the discord.

Damn I love those random avatars.

They're pretty cute. Also a nice way to identify transactions once you know what avatars belongs to who.

Yes it can. Just not with the official pool. Skypool can 51%.

Cool future is the address system too, you can't send him to the wrong person because of the typo since there is an IBAN style format and the wallet will recognize the address as invalid.

I didn't know that. That is indeed cool.

To be honest, Nimiq really feels like Blockchain 2.0.

270k nimlet here

1$ EoY

gib nim pls

>1$ EoY
$1 EoY 2020. Tokyo will adapt it during the olympics.

how much NIM do I get for 1 NET?

100NIM = 1NET

Don't buy NET, no liquidity, if you feel adventurous you can go on Tradesatoshi/LAtoken but they often have withdrawal problems, hope Hitbtc will speed a bit, tired of these turbodogshit exchanges.

There's been no issues with Tradesatoshi according to the mining channel on Discord.

Pool mining this for fun and because it's a good project. $1 by 2020. GTFIH anons

using official miner

why does it say stopped when I start it? I dont know if im mining or not (miner is using CPU in task manager)

Attached: luliq.png (815x650, 24K)

No idea, I played around with it for a bit but couldn't get it to work either.

Ask Kunani on the discord.

most people use pools

+1 for nimiq mining since mainnet launch

The projects that win are the ones that get adopted and the best tech projects don't always win.

I do use a pool!

1$ eoy 2018
5$ eoy tokyo shillin

We need a NIM-chan first though. Gotta get those anime fans.

asked him and it worked out, thanks!

Glad it worked out, gaspachelor.

Appeal means adoption, and nimiq is certainly appealing.

Unironically an awesome project with a niche use and small mcap. Holding 60k nimmies, am I gonna make it?

Jävla svensk

hell välfärd

You mean besides the people who got their withdrawals stucked during more than a week and the whole thing looking like it will exit scam anyday?

Don't worry, this guy is Sandman and this other guy is Edixo.
At least it doesn't smell like curry here.

True, but imo Nimiq is the superior Reddcoin and Electroneum at the same time,

been mining since last month
its literally the only project that I believe in, but theres a lot of disconcerting shit
>NEW EXCHANGE!
>fucking LAtoken
>literally no attempt at marketing, ever
On one hand its letting me mine more but this project is pretty old and still at an all time low

Attached: 1527539815328.png (540x720, 669K)

Glenn got like 5 DM's calling me a racist for that comment. I knew I smelled curry.

>Skypool can 51%.
Holy shit, no. Why whould you think it can do that? Explain it.

>literally no attempt at marketing, ever
They've addressed this. They want a fully functional product for merchants and developers to be able to implement NIM into their own products easily before mass marketing.

Their code is great and it attracts already a lot of web devs despite being obscure as hell so at one point or another it will generate some attention if people keep building on top of it.
But yeah they lack a marketing guy.

Well there is some ŠOÝ around, we have to cohabit, you can't go full Jow Forums there.

Why do you think it couldn't, 51% literally have nothing to with the hashing functiun afaik.

Plus they literally fix issues on a day to day basis. How long did it take to fix the safe sync issue? 6 hours?

Someone sell me on this.

this thing never pumps. why buy something that only lose you money?

I had issues with creating a wallet and logging in with my password its like it kept wanting me to make new wallets and I got fed up. Halp?

Wallet is stored in the browser. If you use a private session or don't store cookies, the wallet won't be saved and you'll have to recover it with the 24 words every time you want to access it.

When did you do it? Yesterday there was some issues with the seed nodes. It happened to me once, just tried later and it worked, otherwise go on their discord, Devs generally reply fast to bug reporting.

Oh so if ifs asking me to make a new wallet every time I have an issue with my cookies. Interesting. Thanks!

You won't ever make a lot of money if you invest AFTER it has pumped. It's a good investment because it hasn't pumped already

Well, you can write down your backup recovery words so you keep your wallet and don't have to create one everytime

What is it with this community? Why is it so helpful and creative compared to others?

Most of the current addons such as the tip bots, easy desktop miner, and twitch donation app are made by randoms.

That's simply a blockchain written in JavaScript for you, there are a shitton of webdevs out there but no real friendly coin for them besides Nimiq.

>compiled a miner from source
>still only getting a meager 10KH/s

Fucking 3570k.

Because a cryptocurrency that can be developed by 95% of programmers and is easily integrated into most websites (particularly when they rewrite the Keyguard to allow 3rd parties to access it) is attractive to a lot of developers and programmers.

Still working out a bunch of things and the network is being more and more optimised every day, but it's fundamentally a top 10 coin already just lacks the brand recognition. Try mining some NIM on the testnet then testing out their open source checkout at shop.nimiq-testnet.com/ for example, it is completely seamless.
