How much culture shock would I experience, going from Anglo Canada to the US?

You'll experience something akin to Paris Syndrome. I'd be careful if I were you.

zero

Why

I could probably experience more culture shock driving from New York to Maryland than a European could on the whole trip from Portugal to Estonia

based

depends where u go because were a big cunt

We have guns here. Don't be shocked if you see a full on shoot out when you're trying to hit up Waffle House at 3am

Literally none
We're basically the same country

If you run around hallucinating and acting crazy in an American street you'll get shot. I mean you'll be shot regardless, it'll just happen faster.

you'd see lots of blacks everywhere to start with

Trade chinks and poojeets for spics and niggers.

There you go

False.
Every American county is basically its own country. There is a bigger cultural difference between Providence county and Newport county in Rhode Island than Greece and Norway

Imagine if McBride were an entire country.

Depends on where to where.

Vast majority of the time you can forget about casually enjoying cities and not being paranoid about random muggings and crime. Also be prepared to drive everywhere.

You're also going to be shocked, guaranteed actually, to see how much poverty there is in a first world country. Like, beyond the norm of Canada and I'm speaking as a person who grew up in the poorest city in Ontario who travel the states for school/work.

Based

False. Americans are constantly stressed out and it makes them uncomfortably assertive.

The poverty and social insecurity from lack of healthcare or social safety nets creates a pretty noticeable difference.

>Also be prepared to drive everywhere.
I take exception to this. Canada is just as automobile-cucked as the States are, which is actually depressing since you're supposed to be "progressive"

This, but unironically

Infinitely better. At least CHIs and niggas have been here for centuries. Poos and zhangs don't belong in the west.

Which places did you visit? North Philly, parts of Detroit/Baltmore/Compton? wtf. Sounds like a bullshit story. There is poverty but why would tourists even go there. Of course you can 'casually enjoy' every city except for the aforementioned places.

None. I was in Montreal and it was basically like here but colder and everything was in French.

Going to Detroit was a pretty big shock.

>canada
>usa
>especially canada though
>culture
Lmao

I bet that you'd have a much different experience in bumfuck rural Quebecois towns.

>walking down street
>guy in pulled over car ask for directions
>help him, he's from atlanta
>says I'm lucky to live here
>ask why's that
>there's no niggers here

our cities are more centralized, public transit here is less scary

You can spew this bullshit to euros but I am not sure why you always try this hard when talking to us. We literally live next door and we know you are basically the same country but poorer.

Enjoying your torrented, keygen-hacked, macaco version of our president?

I'm curious, which cities did you visit?

My experiences are:
>Most things felt dirtier
>Most places felt less safe
>Everything was less expensive, even after the exchange rate
>Larger selections of goods and services.
>Better salaries

weak ass bait

seattle (exception), denver, sacramento, LA, tampa, atlanta, omaha
didn't ride public transit in half of those though

I'd tell you that the cities you visited were shitholes but they typically are unless you already know them or have someone with you that does.
Except for LA I've been around there with friends who are locals and it is an absolute garbage city, same with San Francisco.

The US is unbelievably dirty and there's nothing that can be done. Apes leave shit everywhere. They used to not have as much purchasing power now even going into an H&M looks like you just went inside a typhoon shelter. I used to think it was just because I lived in a populated area, but no it's a dirty shithole everywhere. I even met a friend from Germany in Boston (the cleanest big city in the US) because I was self-conscious, and they still asked why everything was dirty. It's not even just litter I'm talking about, everything just looks run-down from streets to pavement to buildings.

San Francisco and Seattle are the only western cities with decent public transportation. The others are all in the north. I guarantee you that the situation there is at least on par with what you've got in Montreal or Toronto.

find the bigger problem is people having to live further out from downtown areas so they're in a different municipality with a decent school district instead of a poorly funded black one
if you take away sports a nothing town like saskatoon seemed to have as much downtown nightlife as denver
ottawa is the only canadian city with a dead downtown because it's all office space for government employees

if you're coming from Alberta to the middle USA, probably none. If you're traveling from BC to the east coast of the USA or from Quebec to California, maybe a minimal amount.

The cultural stratification is basically differs by latitude. If you travel from Ontario to Ohio or even Tennessee, it won't be too much different.
