This. Poortugal has a pretty decent flag too. It still has a symbol/coat of arms, but it isn't too elaborate (but it could benefit from some simplification). France's flag would unironically be good as well if it wasn't for the fact that EVERYONE copied it (only we get a free pass, we were technically first). 'Murica's flag is good too. I also unironically like the FUCKING LEAF flag and anyone who thinks the red ensign was better is a dipshit, fite me.
