Read my post above. Leprosy cases pop up constantly because people are dirt poor and never turn up for medical camps conducted for homeless people.

Contracting leprosy is really hard and the only way you can do it is if you sleep next to a beggar at the railway station or the bus stop.

Are there vaccines against chickenpox nowadays? Pretty sure everybody tries to get their kids to catch it. The idea is that kids have it much milder and catching it once gives you lifetime immunity, so it's basically a makeshift vaccination.

If you are not vaccinated you are not only a danger to yourself, you are a danger to others and not even some random person, but even worse, the most vulnerable members of a society. Little children, old people, people with severe medical conditions and surpressed immune systems, organ-recipients. Walking around in public without vaccination is like drunk driving.
