I have been thinking of selling all my video games Jow Forums so I can focus on making money and more productive things, should I pull the trigger? Is this the final boomer pill?
I have been thinking of selling all my video games Jow Forums so I can focus on making money and more productive things...
Unironically, only pull the trigger once you have a plan what you're gonna do. You need at least one money making activity you can jump into immediately once you've sold all your distractions. Otherwise you're gonna regret it, and probably fuck around, maybe even spending time doing other pointless shit instead of focusing on making money.
Replace your vidya habit with a Jow Forums habit, and I don't mean the board.
Actual boomer here. Still playin the vidya on days off. Played halo 5 this morning. Been playin since halo 3 days. I own my home (well ok so I owe money on it). My stack is at $93k. You dont have to stop the vidya and you dont have to like energy drinks to succeed at boomer life.
yes, video games are a supremely unsatisfying waste of time
sell your games, do drugs and fuck bitches
I already have a regular wagie job, maybe learn more programming and get more proficient at actually using blockchain technology so that if I don't make it I at least have that leg up. I have 100 games on my ps4 pro it's truly my baby.
everytime i see a boomer picture i crack up, i think it’s the nose
100 games? Dude nevermind what I said before, sell that before you become a basement dwelling neckbeard who plays warcraft. I only have 2 games myself, halo 5 and skyrim.
The point isn't whether you have a job or not, if anything it becomes more incumbent on you to shift your habits - because you might be like
>"just got home, was a hard day being a wagie... awww... just one more hour of this. I earned it."
but then you end up wasting all your time trying to clock the level.
That impulse to play vidya, you should replace with a hustle.
I have every system and I play pretty much every good looking release on ps4, I spent a lot of time on /v/ in the past. if I sold it all i would have a good $1k to invest
>if I sold it all i would have a good $1k to invest
It's the time, not the money dingus
Ok so my next question for OP is this: where did the money to buy 1000 games come from exactly?
It's a little of both
Waging like a madman and being a dependent mostly
Dang son. So assuming each game was new at $60 (maybe more if your state has sales tax). Thats $60k altogether. You could own around 10 Bitcoin with that. I feel bad if you sell them only because Gamestop is gonna jew you like you’ve never been jewed before in your life.
Not all I bought full price but some. And some are digital, but yeah I've spent thousands at this point but who cares. All I can think about is blockchain these days I need to get my knowledge up and learn linux
Video games are killing white men. Destroy them
Linux certs + blockchain = six figure waging madman in no time flat.
Playing madden hasn’t killed black men yet unfortunately. Maybe its helping keep their crime rate down?
>boomer
>started at halo 3
halo ce modding was fun. i havent played any halo much since reach
don't do it you'll realize is completely bland and pointless
>not playing free games like dota
Bro I’m 34 right now. Halo 3 came out when I was 23 I think? Had a long stretch of no gaming between N64 and 360 mostly due to college and waging.
Everyone is all big on the hurr durr no fap self-development plan. They don't realize the waste of hours sitting in front of a screen, learning absolutely nothing. I quit Vidya early and started reading. I kid you not my IQ went up significantly because I kept at reading extra all threw high school until now. Self taught meself a bunch of random shit by accident
breaking the vidya habit is hard to do. your best bet is to just play hearthstone. it will satisfy your dopamine levels for a short period of time before you realize the game sucks and shut it off to go outside and do something productive. I play 1 or 2 games a day, it's impossible to binge on it.
Sell it all and never look back. You will change so much (and that's a good thing).
I still play video games but life has become much more interesting and I have little time for them, so it's just a casual hobby nowadays.
You can play vidya as long as it's not everything for you, user.
What do you mean, like selling your steam account? I think you can get banned for that.
i'm 27 and just thought of doing same thing, also have alot of other things i want to sell, it's all just weighing me down, all i need is my computer, my dresser, my bed, and my car.
33 and did this 3 months ago
Time to ascend OP
>it will satisfy your dopamine levels for a short period of time before you realize the game sucks and shut it off to go outside and do something productive.
kek
selling used video games won't net you much money, get a job and save up to start saving up for shitcoins.
It's settled, I'm trading in my ps4 pro and games for a linux bible, blow, monster ultra, and of course more linkies. I'll hold on to my switch for now, Nintendo products dont lose value anyway.
>no gaming between N64 and 360
it was a good time
i fell out after 2012 or so. newest system i have is ps3, unless 3ds counts
I feel perplexed. The most addicted I've been to a videogame was an MMO. Right now my switch sits on a shelf dusting away. I have barely touched the new Super Mario Odyssey. Now I could sell it (at a loss.) And because it never mattered. Or I could keep it and play it every now and then. I do have an addiction to MMOs, but not single player games. I am able to pick up and put a game down after 1-2 hours.
So should I sell or keep? I feel terrible both ways.
Odyssey is supposed to be real good, I don't play mmos much but those are the worst time stinkers in gaming by far
Yeah MMOs are bad, I pissed away so much time. I couldn't even keep any of the friends I made on there. The kicker is I still want to go back and play it. There's so much to do in that damn game. (FFXI)
I seriously just want to get rich and play that game during my free time. I would have zero complaints.
>i am smart
>threw
keep it up, kiddo
Truly we must make it to feed our addictions, god speed user. Were gonna make it.
>meanwhile ninja makes millions a month playing fortnite
Sage Dreamcast
jolly good times
>tfw wageslaving made you too miserable to enjoy video games
Video games are skinner boxes, the ultimate cancer preventing so many young white men to reach their potential and turning them into miserable escapist manchildren.
Abandoning vidyas and porn are necessary, the hardest part after that is to not waste your time wandering aimlessly on YouTube/social medias but you will already be better off.
One of a million.
Just like e-sport it's all smoke and mirrors.
this
give me more sage advice my good man
>not waste your time wandering aimlessly on YouTube/social medias
How to? I can't get out of Jow Forums
