I am working on this little side hustle - I know there are some gaping holes at the moment but would you pay ~$0.50 (0.001 ETH) to watch a video with 90% of this going towards the user(s) who have created the content?

You’d have to have pretty much exclusive rights with no guarantee of return for the creator. There’s something there though I reckon I’ve been trying to get decent stock images for a website and some of the fees for one professional photo are retarded ~$500.

It could be that the content creator can set the price - obviously if its too high,and the content isnt that great they may not get as many views etc...

Develop now, wait for proper fiat on-ramp integration into currency coins that somehow work with SEPA bank transfers or hope that people find out about MakerDAO/DAI and print them for themselves and their peers, which is a stretch as it is.
Maybe the KIN ecosystem somehow works out and bridges the world of instant payments into Crypto. Credit Cards might be an option, but with fees and regulatory issues this might not work out in the same way that Paypal doesn't let you pay for porn on Patreon, which is why they removed it.
