I've been to a school like that (maybe 1 white kid for every 20-30 black) and there were fights all the time, all the stabbing and shooting took place outside of school though because they still weren't stupid enough to murder someone in the middle of a public place like that.

A now defunct inner city school in the NE US. Also I left out an important detail, while they were smart enough to do most of the violence outside of school they would start it oftentime as soon as they got off the bus. They used public buses for god knows what reason so in central downtown almost everyday there would be a hoard of 200-300 kids getting off at the central stop and it devolved into coontown instantly.

I somehow never was beaten up but I did have shit stolen semi frequently.

Why did your parents let you go to such a shit school? Didn't they try to get you into a private school or at least a better public school nearby?

Ironically Junior High was worse, I remember coming in one day and seeing broken glass and blood everywhere. One guy had pushed a dude's head through three different windows. Would've killed to actually see that happen.

I do hear about guys that have to teach in inner-city Chicago, I don't know how they handle it.
