>29 >spent the first half of my twenties dicking around with a useless degree >start MBA at 25 to unfuck my shit up >finish May of 17 >spent last 2 years trying to get experience >have 24k saved up but need about 60 before I consider buying a house >only making 60k right now but in my city thats OK >wanted my shit unfucked by 30 but now it looks like it'll be 31 or 32
33 here. Make bare minimum income for my expenses. But I have a LOT of freetime. Have $500 in silver as savings. I find it helps me save more so than dollars. No degree.
Putting all of my time to use by working on becoming a remote software developer. Building my skills. Also working on my health which is important for us boomers.
Ethan Thomas
24 here, useless Economics BA. been working a desk job for years. Have spent the last 1 year and will spend the next year mastering my second language to become a translator for my cities civil courts, and other legal services that I seem to have some decent connections to. If that fails, then its back to school for my MBA.
Oh, and my salary is about 40k in one of the most expensive cities in the country, so I'm not doing so great. But, I'm optimistic - will kill myself at 35 if I don't make it* by then.
* Making it to me is having a stable life, family and career and not living like a fucking rodent.
Josiah Richardson
34 here, no higher education and i've been working since i got out of the army at 19. Making about 40k a year, i own a small farm with about 8 acres of land. No big savings in the bank but about 10k in gold, another 20k in antiqe blackpowder revolvers and another 10k in crypto.

How do you expect to use an MBA without any meaningful management experience?
Jace Cooper
>26 now >always hated public school, asked to be homeschooled night before 1st grade >parents say no, they don't care >struggle for years >drop out of highschool at 15 >be familiar with chans and torrents >learn about tripcodes and hashing >realize how cryptography works at a basic level >hear about Bitcoin >mine bitcoin instead of tripcodes >get basic $13 an hour part time job >attend college for Comp Sci at age 19 >realize college is bullshit, drop out >buy and mine Bitcoin, take edx courses >parents tell me crypto is a scam >tell them they're idiots, never speak to me again >move out >buy more Bitcoin, learn more programming >get fulltime job at $12 an hour >employer realizes I can automate things >transition to $20 an hour >keep buying Bitcoin >pick up certs, automate more shit >$25 an hour >keep buying Bitcoin >haven't sold any coin yet, almost have about $500,000 worth of Bitcoin
Soon lads.

Learn a stem related field. I have a BA in Econ, I couldn't find any 'worthwile' work. I learned programming, then Mechanical Engineering.
Now I literally sit on the computer and invent shitty consumer goods I manufacture in China all day. Sell it all on marketplaces through drop shippers.
Today I'm making a "sports massager". Basically a vibrator for crossfit types.
And I'm actually putting econ theory to practice. Basically, you've got to add a second skill that compliments econ, and being a translator is pretty shit, unless you're going to do some form of negotiating.

getting in heavy and early to very promising projects like theaccountingblockchain.io/?aId=7543845-2892534 put me about a decade ahead. look it over and toss in a coin. remember, fortune favors the bold!
I love this and I hope it is real. The lesson to be learned is all you need is to be smart and work hard.

>I'm optimistic - will kill myself at 35 if I don't make it You really need to reevaluate those chances if you want to live past 35. Hell shouldn't just minimum wage and overtime put you above 40k if you live in SFBA or NYC?
Henry Roberts
im 20, i got a friend whos 21 who browses as well
Oliver Rodriguez
You are making it with out a doubt.
Brandon Powell
Why the fuck have you not sold it yet. Should have sold it when the speculation was crazy and put that in an index fund so you can live off returns/dividends (The avg is 7-8%, so take 5% each year and put the rest back to counteract inflation) 5% of 500k is 20,000 after taxes, or you can buy a 500k home, and rent it out if you want passive income.

>22 >did computer networking for a couple years >helpdesk job >currently learning linux through a bible >learned a lot of surface level blockchain tech plan on learning more >investing as much as I can in crypto
I'm so hopeful and excited. All this shit has me motivated as hell, the networking actually helped a lot with understanding this shit. Everything is falling into place it feels like. There is so much opportunity for us here.
>be 25 >meet nice grill in my league at church, chat her up >get engaged at beginning of the year >her grandma goes into palliative care >spend two weeks there with her, caring for her, and bonding with fiance' >grandma dies >months later find out grandma and grandpa had that sweet texas oil money >land too >HUEG tracts of land >fiance's mom inherits a third of it, 1.1mil in a lump sum, just from CD's and life insurance policies >Haven't seen what the yearly income from land and oil royalties will be yet >Mom buys 79 acres out in East Texas for 600k >Not happy that she bought it so fast, but it is what it is >Offers me job as ranch manager and cut of profits from ranch >Gonna be a shepherd soon

oh well, i've just sort of detached from it instead of stressing, now just try to be happy day-to-day and not think about the bleak future ahead
Charles Hall
Thanks user, I plan on keeping my day job at >32k/year as a chemist and live off that while setting aside the ranch profits to invest and buy some oil royalties. Mineral rights are fucking expensive as hell though.

Look into batteries (like sulfur) and nuclear energy (like thorium) for investments as well, should be up and coming in 3-5 years. All good plans though m8.

I live in an expensive city but good salary allows me to save a lot of money...very comfy but bored and looking for meaning, I think I'll find it by going back to school and focusing on math/stats

Oldfag here. Financially I'm a long way off, but I at least have plans now (start and build a business). I grew up dirt poor and got nearly bankrupted when my mom died when I was 29. Now I'm happily married with kids on the way, a stable job, and have some serious medical conditions under control so I'm much better than I was. Finances are coming along and are light years ahead of where I was 4 years ago when I was paycheck to paycheck and getting sued for nonpayment of old debts related to mom's medical care and funeral expenses, but life is about a lot more than just finances.

when your 19, living off 20k a year is impossible.
When your already well off with a paid for house and paid for car, then i can see the 20k a year as a retirement plan.
otherwise, dont be an asshole

nope. thats normal for entry level bullshit if you're lucky.
otherwise, you can be a shithead and not have a job at all with an MBA.

21, live at my parents house, almost done with my composition and arrangement degre (in music), don't have a job, make money playing shows (I'm a dj and a producer), have a decent following which is not bad, also make money selling weed in my spare time, have 1000$ saved up and a bunch of now worthless cryptos, waiting for my music career to take off
