I went to Turkey alone
Met some nice people that I hanged out with that week
Kind of sucks when you have to go out to dine alone though

I wish I could afford just flying
going alone is better, you don't want to travel with someone and work by their schedule

think about it
book a flight and find someone there

What a pussy. Last summer I met a couple of russian girls who traveled arround the world all on their own

>always tired
>want to visit Rome, been listening to lots of audiobooks and podcasts about Ancient Rome lately
>flight is 12 hours and my height is 6ft3/191cm so it would be extreme discomfort for a whole day unless budget allows $6k just for flights, not to mention dealing with airports

*sigh* Just too tiring to even think about

Attached: tired2.gif (633x758, 20K)

man that's a stupid reason
just get an exit seat, you don't need first class

you can not reason with an autist

I spend two hours standing inside a mini bus having same height daily, can't you just handle a discomfort for half a day?

Attached: 1539095746939.jpg (483x487, 44K)

What do you work with?

don't understand what you mean. If you're about the type of the bus, it's standard Russian g*zels. If I'm lucky I'll catch a Hyundai bus.

I assumed the bus transported you to and from work every day
Why are you on the bus?

>I assumed the bus transported you to and from work every day
lol no, it doesn't work that way in shithole countries: in Armenia you either have a car or live nearby, otherwise you're fucked.
>Why are you on the bus?
Because I neither have car nor a driving license, and public transport in Yerevan is a twisted and horrible thing

I'm pretty sure even as a burger flipper you can still save enough money to travel to another country if you're smart about it unless you're in huge debt or something.

Maybe in 30 years

More than half of Americans are in debt and almost all of those who are in debt work low-paying jobs, so OP is probably fucked there

It's overrated anyway.

just get an international company to hire you and have them pay for your visa, passport, and plane ticket

modern problems require modern solutions

How much money would it even cost to go to another country alone for like a week?
Flights with a place to stay, obviously it depends on where you fly to and stay, but probably no more than 2000 dollars, then 500 for food or so
2500-2700 for everything probably?

you can learn the country's language while you save. It will make the experience more pleasant

Not even that. If you stay in Central America or the Carribbean you can stay under 1,000. If you want to see Europe, 1500 is doable as some non high season flights can get really cheap. Alone you have more flexibility.

so was it the end of the road for them?
Also
>girls
>plural
>alone
you might be retarded, paco

Oh really? I've never travelled out of country before so I don't know, what about Asia?
I want to travel alone this summer, looking into a budget and shit

travel to any eastern euro country and squat with some slavs

Google has a flight searcher that you can use to find the cheapest available in a given season, it's basically $500-600 for Europe in spring or fall.

Asia would be a little more costly for the flight but rooms/food should be dirt cheap to make up for it. Look for countries with good exchange rates vs. the dollar.

I'm going to go to Italy soon as their economy is tanking but it is still beautiful and safe there.

The fuck you talking about? The average American nakes 65k a year.
The average third worlder brown shitholder from brownentina makes 10k a year.
No one in brownentina that is not high class can afford to travel abroad.

I forgot to mention flights are even more expensive and take longer to reach their destination.

i've been in like 20 different countries, nothing special tb.h

i tought gas was cheap in us?

Ofc you are

Not him but I live in Michigan. In the past two years, I've:

>flown round-trip to Ecuador for $450
>flown round-trip to Mexico for $200
>flew one-way to Dar Es Salaam for $350 (and then went to Egypt, Kenya, India, etc)
>flew round-trip to Colombia for $175
>flew round-trip to India for $900 in winter, when fares usually highest
>purchased a round-trip to Guatemala for $300
>purchase a one-way ticket to Colombia for $110 (from Chicago)

Also, before you wine about my destination choice, you can fly to Europe for less. From Detroit, Chicago, NYC, etc, you can get to Iceland, the U.K. and some other places for less than $200 roundtrip in off-season.

None of my friends wants to fucking travel. I get €2k per month from my grandma and I have nothing to use the money on.

This, my parents flew to Florida for next to nothing. You just need to find the good deals and time it right.

*when fares are usually lowest
*whine

I didn't even start drinking yet, WTF.

I don't live near Detroit, Chicago, or New York
That's gonna add up
Plus I'd need money to spend there
I'm not going actually survive if I spend most of my available money getting there
What if I get stuck?

>itt

Where do you live, approximately?

If you don't mind traveling to Latin America or other less-developed countries, you don't need nearly as much as you might think. Provided you stay in hostels and eat street food, you can be comfortable in most places outside Western Europe and East Asia for $25-$30 per day.

In Mexico, for instance, you can get a dorm-bed for about $8 per night and eat some pretty great street food for under $5 or $6 per day.

Personally, I'm going to Colombia for a month between May and June. Already booked my AirBnB: my rent for 30 days in my own apartment is less than $300, which is what I'd pay for a single room with a contract and lease in my mid-sized town.

Where did you go in my cunt if you don't mind the question.

>be retarded nigger bugger flipper
>spend all your money on booze, vidya and weed
>huuur I haf no moneyz to travel wtf !

Quito, Latacunga, Cotopaxi, Cuenca, Parque Nacional Cajas, Guayaquil, Montanita and Isla de la Plata.

Had a pretty good time everywhere except Montanita, which was a fucking meme.

It's rent and student loan debt

fuck off, all yanks are fucking oligarchs

now tell me how much you suffer in huge suburban house

do you buy your ticket far, far in advance with some kind of discount or coupon, or wait to the last minute when some airlines drop their prices to the floor to fill up the plane and you have no idea where you're going to fly to?
the ticket is a fairly high entry barrier if you fly all the way from over here

You've already traveled more in my own country than I've ever had kek, yeah I agree montañita is a meme now thou my parents say it was great many years ago

I've never had discounts or coupons.

I typically purchase fares anywhere between 1 to 3 months ahead of departure, although I've gone last-minute, too. I find you usually get the best deals at about 3 months out. Any sooner than that and you're liable to get standardized pricing that hasn't adjusted. Of course, there are always exceptions. One of the cheapest flights I ever got to India, I booked within a week of leaving.

Would definitely recommend using SkyScanner, Google Flights or another airfare search engine. I prefer SkyScanner because you have the option of viewing prices on a month-long calendar and can set your destination as "everywhere" or to all airports within a country. It's an imperfect tool but can help you spot good deals once you're familiar with its working.

I fly to India a lot, but that aside, I often pick destinations based on whatever the cheapest international ticket is. That's how I went to Colombia for the first time.

thanks

Why do people really feel the need to travel?
If I flew yo a different country what the fuck would I even do?
