What is life in modern day Rome like?

people are really grumpy, expecially in the roads. driving is the worst, but i don't think people are that much ruder here than elsewere

I've been to Rome twice, it's a cool place with a lot of history but it is really chaotic.
Next time I go to Italy I want to visit somewhere a little less hectic, like Sardinia or Sicily.

good idea! every place in italy is vastly different from the others, so you'll always find something new

altough i wouldn't recomend Sardinia, because besides beaches there is litterally nothing there but rocks

God tier tourists shit but its literally africa tier. Rubbish bins are over flowing. Its just a slab of concrete in the sun. Insanely over crowded. Pajeets, Africans and arabs constantly pester everyone. Nothing works. Everybody openly and actively tries not to do their job but also suck every penny they can from everybody else because the entire city is purely suckling off when it was not shit.

It's true that trash is everywhere because public services are shit, but it's ot that crowded or filled with bad people as you say
