wtf why does the turkish anthem sound so nefarious? It makes them look like the evil empire in movies

Its called the "independance march" or something like that and how its supposed to represent the free spirit of the Turkish people as well Ataturk. Thats why I like the way it sounds

its pretty religious anthem actually

soviet one but only in the hollywood movies

I thought the anthem would have a secular meaning

Of course USSR anthem tops all of them

an imam/poet/journalist type of guy wrote it. it has quite a lot of religious themes as well as nationalist ones, some example religious lines from the whole poem,

>For freedom is the absolute right of my God-worshipping5 nation!
>But my borders are guarded by the mighty bosom of a believer
>For soon shall come the joyous days of divine promise;
>Oh glorious God, the sole wish of my pain-stricken heart is that,
>No heathen's hand should ever touch the bosom of my sacred Temples.
>And tears of blood shall, oh Lord, spill out from my every wound,

Non-ironically

This is objectively the most BASED and badass national anthem there is.

>Addresses the Emperor himself and wishes him an endless reign
> Its lyrics are the oldest of any national anthem, dating back to an anonymous poem from the Heian period
>The words are to the point and essential, the music majestic and beautiful
>It's considered the most controversial national anthem in the world. It drives both Japanese libs and commies crazy, with multiple cases of teachers refusing to stand for it (the Supreme Court ruled in 2011 that it's constitutionally required that they sing it lmao btfo)

it's pretty good

I loved hearing it during the World Cup, it has something peaceful but at the same time strong feeling to it

I heard this one in high school and remember it was really catchy and sounded really good for an anthem
