Internal battery failure is the single reason Ill never use one of these. Paper backups for me.

Seriously tho guys, i have my recovery phrase, how do I access my LINK?
>tfw he bought link

Wow that’s scary make sure you have your phases in a safe place

Need to buy another one

I'm looking at them

Is it any coincidence that ledger nano s offers no phone support, and their live chat just gives you the runaround?

Funds are safe(ly in the hands of the manufacturer of your little toy).

>it's 2018 and he still thinks hardware isn't vulnerable
you're not going to make it user

Had the same problem.
Try another cable.
Worked for me

>Not just having it on the exchange
Funds would be safu retard.

it doesnt have an internal battery its bus powered

Backup wallet on several usb sticks. Lock it up in your safe.

Voila, no need for a gay hardware wallet.

This. I don't know why people don't just do this. Or use an old airgapped computer (with other backups) if you're really paranoid. Why would you pay money for one of these faggot things?

Because eventually you're going to want to sell or use your funds...unless you just want to literally hold onto them forever and literally do nothing with them ever, which makes no sense either bubs.

because in order to send your shitcoins to an exchange you'll have to expose your private key to your shemale-animu-malware-ridden computer and get fucked

with a hardware wallet its impossible to get hacked even if your computer is infested with a million viruses, you can't send any coins without clicking a physical button on the device which is impossible for viruses to do

You do not have to expose your private key to the internet.
>build transaction offline
>sign transaction offline with private key
>bring signature online, leaving private key offline

yes that is so much safer and easier than clicking a button on a ledger. I can't wait to explain to my grandma how to sign offline transactions

>the most secure way to store your cryptofunds
get rekt fedoraboy

>on several usb sticks
lmao how is that even possible like you're copying your wallet on multiple sticks?
literally duplicating money? crypto is such a fucking joke

You buy another one and use back up phrase as initial setting

You can also enter your key online. But this is risky.

(You)

big if true

a little advice for you boys

using a hardware wallet is a good thing.

but you have to keep a recovery key

>buy several cheap USB sticks
>encrypt them was a password you will remember, using Veracrypt, its free
>save the back up phrase on all your encrypted sticks
>keep one in many different locations in case of fire.

Never lose funds.

>doesn't even turn on
This is why I leave everything on the exchange.

>my grandma will easily be able to use a ledger
This is a stupid premise. Also the people that need ledgers the most are probably the ones that don't buy them.

So what would you do if you’re hardware wallet “doesn’t turn on”. What would be the proper steps to getting to your funds.

Rebuy everything on Binance.

Really hope for your sake you actually tested your ledger beforehand while setting it up. typing the pin wrong 3 times and using your 24 words to actually check that it gives you the correct seed and that your words are correct.

Get a new one and use the recovery phrase

>being this retarded.

Your ledger is fine. You need a data transfer cable. Standard usb won't work

i want to be in the screenshot

LMAO

YOU ASSHOLE!
I tested my ledger richt now...
> typing the pin wrong3 times..
I've just typed my pin wrong 3 times. I HAD OVER 60 ETH ON IT

lol you got /chinked/ big time bruv, so full of goodwill to believe a downsized raspberry pi with keylogger to be a viable store of value. Toppest of keks

Attached: 1516703834214.jpg (599x416, 23K)

i had the same problem. just email ledger support and explain what happened and they'll give you a replacement themselves or have the reseller you bought it from send you a new one.

just dont send your broken one to the reseller. destroy it. you better have written down your seed

10/10 bait

Attached: 1529005185709.jpg (320x240, 7K)

i once found a usb stick with nothing but a .txt with random words on it, i just quick formated it and used as my personal usb stick since it was 4gb and that was a lot for the time, didnt knew shit about crypto, i realized what i did some months ago

data is still there unless you use the space it had assigned for something else

used it for years and threw it away long ago

The man who broke crypto
>Checkmate cryptards

so with my bank, when someone steals my money, I can call them up and the transactions get reversed. its pretty cool they'll even call me up if they think I've been robbed and help me though the process.

is there something similar with crypto? if my money gets stolen, who can I can to reverse the transactions?

This is 100% bait I'm replying to, but you test it BEFORE, not after you put thousands of dollars of crypto on the wallet.

Obviously he was joking you fucking autists... right m8?

Made me chuckle, thanks man.

binance just released SAFU

and the bank steals my money all of the time in overdraft fees cause of how NEET i am.

id rather lose 30 dollars than keep any money in a bank. i am my bank. you're money is as safe as you are intelligent fren

fuck you for making me laugh

>clicking a physical button on the device which is impossible for viruses to do
Are you sure about this? I've seen software/firmware do some shit now.
