After every gain cycle they sell their link for ETH and start the cycle again, that's why you see mini pumps every month or so.

There are still a lot of whales with over 2 million link in the group wash trading for more ETH. They tried creating another group but everyone followed and they ended up with the same problem.
They tried the whole verifying your username by sending x amount of link to an adress but a lot of whales got fed up with the fascist admins and sold their links to go to 0xbtc. That's why the "Tonight" posts decreased dramatically and the 0xbtc using chainlink meme templates increased dramatically.
