English
Indian “Rez” accents *vomits*
Language you speak
>>language you speak
Portuguese
>>worst regional accent of your language
Everything in red, however, the worst offender would be "Carioca".
French
There isn't a worst accent but the funniest is definitely québécois
i wonder if ours sounds funny to them too
Why are you southerners always so mean to the rest of Brazil?
I bet an Indian made this image. Everyone knows there are only 6 (maybe 7) real Anglophone countries: Australia, NZ, Canada, US, UK, Ireland. Sometimes South Africa.
>british english: philippines
LITERALLY the only country outside the us to recognise american english as their main variant of english
Why is American and Canadian English separated? They're so similar you can barely tell the two apart, especially if you're in states like Minnesota or North Dakota.
I didn’t make the map I just googled “English accents map world” and chose the first one
You guys spell a couple of words differently. Canadians are also apparently meant to pronounce Z normally (unlike you).
Unfortunately we’re becoming more Americanized now that the only popular media Canadians consume is from the states
WOW SO DIFFERUNT
>muh zed
cringe
Well to be fair, British English and American English aren't much different at all either. Far more similar than any two Mandarin dialects.
problem is that there's really no unified canadian or american english accent, so while some of us sound american some others sound completely alien to americans
it's retarded to generalise an entire country linguistically
vocabulary and spelling wise canadian english is basically a free-for-all, both british and american spellings and terminology are widely accepted (though usually one wins out over another, more often the american variant) while in the states if you spell colour properly you'll get looked at funny, or if you're british you spell realise as realize people will also look at you funny
>while in the states if you spell colour properly you'll get looked at funny, or if you're british you spell realise as realize people will also look at you funny
lol no. there are many here that don't know the difference between your and you're so nobody is going to give you a weird look.
I always make a point to spell things correctly lmao
yeah here we tend to prefer british spelling but are split on vocabulary.
No one knows what the fuck a Lorry is here for example. It's a dumb fucking word for a truck and I don't know why people use it in the UK.
a lot of the words that american and canadian english share have to do with stuff like trade and transport, which is why we use truck instead of lorry or trunk instead of boot
probably the same with australia, because the trucking industry was mostly controlled by american companies rather than british ones, the term truck won out over lorry
That's completely different, different spellings and different meanings are something else. People who don't know when to use you're and your, either just don't care or are uneducated.
just like they don't care you put an extra letter in a word. my main point was they don't know the difference, at most they'll say you spelled it wrong.
Swiss German. All Swiss German dialects are beautiful, even the one from Thurgau. Only Basel is gay but then they don't speak a high Alemannic dialect like normal people but a low Germanic one. It's not really ugly, just gay.
Feel like the only Americans that would care about whether or not you spelt "color" with a u are the same types of runts who comment on Fox News articles. That's if they even notice.
I was going to say, I've never heard stuff like this brought up in real life besides on here. I don't think most Americans would care how you decided to spell a word, especially if they knew you were a foreigner. Not a big deal.
>Southern
The accent isn't obnoxious but the people are
Stadin slangi
It's not even Finnish
what is the point of this map? Filipinos speak perfect american english I can hardly tell them apart if its a phone call
To actually answer your question though, the valley girl Californian shit, where they use a lot of vocal fry, I find it really fucking annoying.
It’s because the southerners have no culture and have to make it up through pettiness. Like who tf even visits the south? Do you even know a single city there? Of course not, it’s irrelevant.
t. New Englander
I love Southerners. Some of the most chillest people. The servicemen from Texas are bro-tier.
t. San Diego
He meant the southerners in Brazil. Come on now 2+2=4 pay attention. You must really hate US southerners to say that before realizing the map and comment were context clues to where he as talking about.
you must have shit hearing. I can easily tell when a disgusting flip is trying to pretend to be a yank
Shut up retard yankee we’re talking about Brazil. Dixieland is based and you’re not
>southerners have no culture
Damn you are ignorant; probably a stupid yankee. Leave the country and ask the locals what they like about the US. Everything they say, besides Los Angeles, come directly from the South.
When I lived in Germany, people were all over men because I am from Texas.
>worst regional accent
Pittsburgh, speaking as someone from there. It sounds like Boston, the Midwest, and the South all fucked, and their failed abortion was the Pitt.
"Yinz fuggin jagoffs wanna drink a few Arns and eat some keelbasa 'n'at and watch da Stillers game?"

I'll go with dialect
Mor*ccan dialect
They literally can't speak Arabic lmao, everyone needs subtitles to understand what they're saying
Baltimorese is pretty bad too
Canadians pronounce a lot of "oa" in their words. The "oa" becomes more noticeable the stronger the accent is.
Explain
spanish
mexican
>Mr onda vital tries to make fun of us
I haven't been to Baltimore, and I've only heard short examples of the local accent in videos, but it sounds... okay to me. Strange, and definitely unique, but I think it actually sounds cool in a way.
Pittsburghese, on the other hand, sounds kinda silly even as a native.
not making fun just saying my opinion, its the most displeasing accent ive ever heard and most spaniards would cringe at street-level mexican aswell
I actually have a Baltimore accent and my coworkers here in Virginia keep bullying me over it
New England and the south are preddy bad. Rather listen to the NE ones though.
well take solace that you didn't move from northern minnesota to no man's land in ohio, which is basically what people consider standard american, as a kid, the teasing was pretty brutal. I didn't even know I had an accent until I moved.
The simplest example I can give is saying the word "go"
In an American accent it would sound like "go", but in a strong Canadian accent, it would sound like "gå".
I've heard many Canadians pronounce 'o' as 'å'. I noticed that after listening to Jordan Peterson and a few Canadian YouTubers.
Hmm, never thought about that before. Our pronunciations change as you head from east to west and JP is from Toronto
quebecois and their accent when they speak english is fucking insufferable.
The South is light years better than any other region of the US. Also it was about Brazil you retarded fuck.
I can’t stand Minnesotan accents. Get that shit outta here. Texan English should be the standard
Russian

Stop sucking his dick
porto alegrense and paulista dialects are the finest to me
>southerner
>Texas
Alright. I also find southern accents annoying myself despite living down here now, I’m from New York though so maybe it just’s just me that thinks it sounds inbred as all hell.

>yyyyeaaahhhh naaahhhhh i dunnoooooooo aaayyyyeeee
plus they talk slow as fuck
singlish isnt that bad, beats canton-english
>said the leaf
I speak several languages, but I guess you're interested in Russian. The worst two accents are:
1) the way Dagestanis and Chechens speak. I really hate how Chechens pronounce "v", they can't do it at all, instead they say "w".
2)Ryazanian dialect with their straight "o". TOGO. Like Poles they speak.
>language you speak
Slovak
>worst regional accent of your language
Everything east of the Tatras. Its easier for me to understand Czech than that cancer
ikr
Hmm, no, people here tend to learn American variant of English, with "flat" instead of apartments, and their way of spelling words like "color", or pronouncing words like "can't". Your map is wrong.
I, for one, prefer British English, but people around usually ask me why do I pronounce "can't" so weird.
>glorious arabic
the worse accent (or dialect) is lebanese. you go to lebanon, expecting people with some self respect, but instead see burly huge men who speak like little girls
>TOGO. Like Poles they speak.
Oh come on. Guessing correctly which syllable is accented in Russian is a pain.
>get worked up over how someone says Z
sit down! you're being a faggot.
Spanish (Castillian)
Chilean dialect, with caribbean dialects a close second
Our school taught British English
Canadian accent isn't different than American
