I am so curious about the plug and play model, especially that is made for beginners and for those on a budget with a hardware platform on which they can deploy their own applications. Practically, the platform grants you your own personal cloud.

Cool! So is there a reward for the plug and play nodes? Say you buy 8 of them, do you still get 8 SKY per node?

I have a dilemma…

Would it be cost effective for me to build my own skyminer now that the testnet is live?

Or its better for me to wait for the release of the official plug & play skyminer once test-net is over?

My opinion ,the earlier you get in, the better the reward. Yes waiting for the plug and play mining device is very cost effective, but you may miss out a lot...if you wish something cheaper, you can try an DIY Skyminer.
Getting into skywire mining now is the best thing to do.

Ok so there is lots of hardware, this gets us closer to the decentralized internet. Also the buyback is interesting, hoarding a few Sky basically gets you more Sky. :-D

Well I wonder the same thing. Do I get any rewards for the plug and play one? Then there s the tech side... I m not Mich of a technical guy but if a DIY gets me some monthly skycoins I would try to build it

I like Plug&Play device, makes it easier for me to install it in my parents house.

>New Consensus Algorithm

whatz gonna happen with obelisk?! it's replaced or has flaws as well? at some point they were kinda bragging about it

prob just some updates, as they clearly state. nothing wrong with that, it s better to have a bulletproof version before it s irreversible

go for DIY, 48SKY sounds good to me, unless there are rewards with the plug and play why do it

i m thinking the antenas are relevant for areas where there is a large concentration of skywire users, right? whats the point in having one if there s no one to enjoy the high speed internet on your antena s range?

unless you make a small marketing campaign in the neighbourhood, then you d convert sky followers and make use of your antena

the decentralized exchange is a big thing, being able to exchange coins straight from the wallet saves you a lot of time and potentially dangerous transactions if the third party exchange is hacked

I think the plug and play will have the same functions. What the Sky team is trying to do is to make the tools more user-friendly and accessible to anyone want to be involved in the project.

This. Become a mini ISP by selling capable OpenWRT routers.

The design of plug and play looks very simple and easy to use. But I don't know if I have the patience to wait, haha

for me it looks like they tryin to cover up every aspect of human condition
if you live in a small community where between 2 householdings there is are few km, u get the antenna option (5/15/50km or more)
if u cant afford to build the diy u can make a smaller one or get the plug and play
if u want to invest more u get the official and they fill u re pockets with coins
if u have a biz and u wanna do u re own shit, u get the fiber
even if ure rich or poor, tech knowledgeable or not, young or old, u have every tool u need to get this going AND noticing how fast they adjust to new conditions, im sure there's already a solution on their agenda for any possible impediment

What's the excuse for the delay on the rewards? You cannot delay a payment that takes 2 seconds for several days with no explanation, is the whitelisting bullshit all over again (again lack of man power?). Yes, there was a whitelisting eventually, but it took almost 4 weeks to know ANYTHING. Is this the same case? You guys need to learn to plan things better.

Tell me your whitelisting day

I was DIY whitelisted/received the email on the first round (I was one of the first letting people know the emails were sent). Day one?

You still need to be uptime 75% to get eligible for the reward

address your questions straight to them. On that channel they give updates about skywire rewards/rebate and other eligibility info

Haha good luck getting an answer to "when are the rewards coming". You'll just get banned.

I said the same thing :) they are making it more affordable to anyone wants to get involved.

That's not true. They always keep an open communication channel with the community. Non-stop on Telegram, AMA on Reddit and so on. Give it a try

I've initially read "Skyjeet" instead of "Skyfleet", kek.
