People underestimate the red part of the US.
Most the US military is from that region plus all the military bases and harbors in that area. Texas itself is a huge advantage. This is not the South of 1860.
Western Europe, France and Germany are powerful but they're still would be outmatched by Russia, Turkey and Britain combined. The geography doesn't help either. Red can strike at the heart of Blue going through Poland and Czechia but Blue can't do the dame. Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia are almost surrounded and would be easily suffocated and invaded.
