Could you provide some insight on how your current ISP sucks hard? Tell me about nasty bandwidth, unwanted commercials and sniffing cookies of centralised internet. I bet you 're pouring over with joy on your shitty connection

Wanna move in the mountains, but my chances to live there a decent life with a decent internet connection is ruining my dreams.

My ISP so nasty I gave up on porn

So skycoin or what?

Any other options? I d go for smth else but don't really trust my wireless neighbourhood network

Noooooo... Dude, you have to find an alternative. That is the ultimate failure in terms of ISP...

>Cable that starts from outside my property gets hit by lightning and is barely giving me any signal
>I call my ISP, asking them to fix it
>"Sir, it's not part of our network. We're only responsible for the cables up to the box"
>Explain to them that since the damage is outside my property it's clearly their responsibility to fix it
>They ignore me and keep telling me the same bullshit
>I grab my shotgun at 4 am and ruin the entire box across the street.
>Next morning, they send 3 people that literally worked for 12 hours to repair it.
>Back to flawless internet just 2 days later

There are always ways to outjew the jew, user.

Actually I was looking into skywire, their decentralized internet project. Have you got some info? Looks pretty ambitious to me

I couldn't open up to my gf so I sent her to ask my internet provider. Still wondering why she broke up with me

Dreaming of flawless bramdwidth connection, somewhere in the middle of nowhere... Any suggestions how can I achieve that?

Nice idea user.
But how the fuck can shoot a shotgun at 4am and not expect police?

Rural area. Closest house is ~150 meters away. It was a junction box on a pillar that I had to take down (pic related), not the big terminal box (that's further away). I guess if I was living in a city the lightning would have affected more people and they'd be forced to fix it.

with their current hardware custom built for a decentralized, high speed, private internet, skycoin is def a very good bet for what you re looking for

ah ok, that explains it.
Nice idea honestly.

Can I use the Skycoin hardware in the mountains or wherever I wanna move?

I have the same curiousity
Everything it's still under development but i see no reason why we couldn't, they must make it possible, it should be accessable for everyone from everywhere

He's white

if you re going for a remote area prob sattelite is the best option. if you re close to a small city you can look into long range Wi-Fi technology but it s quite expensive from what i know. Skywire is perfect for cities, nevertheless. so if you decide to not move into the wild after all... go4it

Does America just not have anti-trust laws anymore? How are monopolies as blatant as the ones in American broadband infrastructure legal in the first place?

rural area btfo cities

Shoo shoo pajeet!
