I have never seen snow before in my life.
What is it like to live in a country where snow is a common occurrence?
I have never seen snow before in my life
Bump
Also want to know
Boring. Can't go outside for too long, too cold and too much snow.
Can't believe the retardation, specially from US flag.
Even I as a monkey have seen snow before.
Shamefur
Cold and annoying.
During winter, it gets relatively cold here so you have to dress warmly. Sometimes we get some snowfall. In particular, recently we have been getting a lot of winter storms and freezing rain which has caused a lot inconvenience. Usually you would need to shovel or salt your driveway every so often when this happens. Also the day following a winter storm or freezing, the public transit is sometimes all fucked up and there's a ton of delays.
Its honestly wonderful and incredibly beautiful. I honestly sometimes wish i was still a kid so i could play in snow
We don’t get snow in Florida
>saying you haven't done something before is retardation
Certainly helps the aesthetics of even the ugliest towns but on the whole it's just a massive annoyance. Vehicles move slower, roads become effectively narrower (because of plowed snow being pushed to the sides), bicycles are no longer usable, shovelling and salting footpaths is tedious work, etc.
I assumed it was bait as not even Brazilians are that dumb.
There's plenty of snow in Australia. Just travel to Southern NSW/Northern Victoria in Winter.
It is great when you don't have to drive or shovel it
Pretty comfy
Snow is super comfy. Partly because it insulates, partly because it reflects light really well which is well welcomed when you have practically no sunlight for extended periods of time. Also it's nice to have such strong variance between seasons.
I get depressed when it snows
Comfy unless you have to do a lot of walking outside
Clearing the snow off everything, especially if it's a lot, can be tedious and annoying, but it's so pretty :3
It's comfy as fuck. Hearing the snow crackling under your feet as you're walking, it provides more light during winter time.
>Snow is super comfy
>It's comfy as fuck
Fuck snow and fuck winter
Can't wait for global warming
It's nice for a while until you have to go somewhere in it.
Pain... it's painful...
I don't know, it's like you're always driving in a desert, no offense
Fuck russia i cant wait for you to starve
i have seen snow only twice and i completely loved that.
the places were it snows are cold but it doesn't feel that bad.
here in buenos aires it never snows, but when it's 0°c it feel much colder.
>mfw its fucking snowing right now
Its February's last days for fucks sake
Ugric cucks will go extinct sooner
Unlike you unorganized monkeys, we actually have efficient snow management. Snow gets plowed off roads early in the morning, before most people go to work. Yards and parking lots get their snow plowed and loaded onto trailers to be shipped elsewhere as well. Same applies to the rest of the civilized nordic nations.
You have meme tier euro winters combined with golf stream effect
Once it snowed for 30 minutes.
Worst 30 minutes ever
So you don't actually like snow and the Russian was right
Whatever, Ivan.
No, snow is great.
Snow is so great you remove it as soon as the day starts?
Don't eat yellow snow
Your management can't do shit about black ice, cold winter's air, getting sweaty the moment you enter somewhere warm, cold wind hitting your face along with falling snow and etc
It's nice. I like snow.
snow is so great they remove it and then roll around in gathered snowbanks like animals
No, we only move it away from where it's an obstacle to places where it's not an obstacle, ie. we spend money to ensure we get the most out of our snow.
It's nice unless you have to go anywhere while it's snowing. You're either stuck behind plows or going really slow because the plows haven't come through yet.
It sucks when it melts too because everything becomes grey slush.
fucking shit sucks
I went to turkey last year and got to experience snow for the first time. I like it. I wish it would snow here at least once though I know that's impossible.
Salt or small rocks on icy surfaces. Cars use studded tires, same are available for bikes etc. Winter clothing should be insulating but still allow for the fabric to breathe. If cold hitting your face is a problem then wear a scarf. There's no too cold, theres just inadequately dressed people.
you never experienced real winter please be quiet
When did it snow in Vietnam?
It's nice for a day or two, but more than that and it becomes pure inconvinience.
It can be a real fucking pain in the ass like right now in Minnesota when several feet have fallen and you can barely commute to work as a result.
This is still preferable to living in a shitty hot place like Australia or Africa, though. The joy of winter is that it focuses your mind in anger against it. The lazy Australian and African, over time, lapse into idleness.
Shut up russia or i will report you to KGB
I just assume so
Yeah because your -30*C is way more than out -30*C, because your black ice is way slipperier than our black ice, because your 3ft layer of snow is way thicker than out 3ft layer of snow. Whatever, Ivan.
It's really nice and comfy :) this is from where I live.
This is the best rivalry in anime
>can barely commute to work
In the olden days snow meant people DIDN'T have to work. Industrialization was a mistake
>our -30*C
>our -30*C
>-30*C
KGB doesnt exist anymore
>t:st.petersburg
I hate snowstorms, I wish I had fingoloid eyes to feel more comfortable when snow blows into your face
Too much snow sometimes I can't even move sometimes
>Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo are located in the southernmost points of their respective countries
>80% of the population lives there
>"we get real winters too, guys"
Top /comfy/
>helsinki is in south finland therefore winter doesnt exist
Whatever, Ivan
those finnish and russian dudes arguing about weather is like one of the most retarded things I've ever seen in this board..
You 've never had such experience.
Have you ever seen snow?
First 2 months it's cool, then it annoys you
ITT: Russianiggers and Fingols argue about weather like a bunch of fucking old ladies
Yes.
It's nice because it lights up the environment since winter is a time of darkness here.
The worst part is when it melts and gets all gray and shit
>Stockholm
>located in the southernmost points of Sweden
Fucking amazing when you're a kid who either plays in it or makes pocket change shoveling old peoples' sidewalks. Fucking shit when you have to deal with it yourself for no recompense.
Aesthetically it's great though, I love walking in it.
Also
>Helsinki
>Located in the southernmost points of Finland
Ivan is sperging on krokodil withdrawals
Colder and therefore houses are better insulated. That's about it.
When you're a kid (Unless impoverished as fuck "can't afford heat") snow is the dopest shit ever. There's basically no drawbacks, at 'worst' they'll make you help them shovel/clear the sidewalk or driveway. But besides possibly closing school (highest chance is in states that don't regularly experience lots of snow but also experience snow regularly. So not Michigan but not North Carolina) it turns the world into a potential playground. Any hill or steep street becomes a sledding course, you can make snowmen or snowball fight or play with toys in the snow.
As an Adult it becomes fucking irritating unless you get the day off. You have to clear the snow from your car/driveway/walkway and depending on conditions the snow might have caused a film of ice on the windshield that'll add 10-20 minutes to getting out. When it snows it'll add that sense of beautiful tranquility mentions, seeming to muffle much of the world unless very windy. After a day or two you get the really grody and nasty grey/black snow from car exhaust on the sides of the road. Sucks if it melts rapidly because that leads to a slushy shithole.
Tl;dr is:
Snow when you are a kid > snow if you can stay put in your house > > > > snow if you have to go anywhere > [an entire post of > > > > > > > > > >] Snow that rapidly melts.
Icy/sleet is the worst. At college it sleeted while I was at a party. Straight up everything covered in a film of ice. And I mean everything. I fall on my ass on the sidewalk, get up, fall on my ass as soon as I do, get up, fall on my ass. I had to sit down and slide my ass like a dog on the carpet two blocks back to campus. I was a bit drunk sure but it was like that frozen cunt went and squirted a deluge across town.
>First 2 months
more like first 2 days
still I take cold winter(-20c and below) over shitty early spring(from -3 to +5c)
I support this, but I will say that snow is still comfy af as an adult. Using the snowblower it doesn't matter if you have to clear your driveway. It can be a little annoying still, but the comfyness of the snow beats the annoyance of clearing it everytime. I love seeing snow outside my window. And also I will differ with school closing. That doesn't happen here.
I can see why you guys use public transportation a lot, having to wake up very early every day to clear shit just to drive to work would be annoying.
I bet it's nice if you live somewhere it snows enough to warrant owning a snowblower. Here you either get left out or dumped on.
Most Norwegians use their cars, we're not like the mainland europeans.
