AB was real. There was too much evidence if you paid actual attention. He was just wrong about his predictions, certainly in terms of price/time, but there's been a huge overall bear in alts so it's impossible to seperate that out. There's still nothing fundamentally wrong about LINK yet though, it's still wait-and-see.

Btw, one of the biggest pieces of evidence that AB was at least semi-legit is his disappearance. Larpers do what they do for attention and notoriety, they are totally addicted to it. No larper obsessed enough to craft the AB narrative would be able to walk away from his endless source of attention and validation.
