Saturn doesn't have asics, sega-cd does, different systems. Sega-cd won't mine without segatv cable modem or flashcart with wifi dongle.

they bought them because it was more efficient per dollar spend, sony sold them cheap because they would get it back getting a cut of all the games sold, unlike regular gpu producers
