I laid on a couple $9/month ones and they felt fine. I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference. But the salesman was slick he started us off with these shitboxes that were like lying on a sheet of plywood then took us over the quasi-luxury section and prefaced them telling her "now this is a whole 'nother world of comfort" and she took it hook line and sinker.

Buying online is probably better, the reason mattress stores can survive (and flourish) while they essentially have no traffic is because the margins on mattresses are insane.

honestly fuck most mattresses. all they do is fuck your back in the long run. wood surface beds with a mattress topper is better for your back in the long run and it's quick to get used to.
