This is one of the worst maps I've ever seen and the fact that it gets regularly posted here by krauts like you is a travesty. They painted the South as Irish, I don't even know how they justify that, there was no Irish movement to the South.
Not to mention that the German Americans have Anglo ancestry as well, its just they identify their ancestry as German because Anglo is default since we are an Anglo country.
Also the "German" migration to Carolinas, New York and Pennsylvania predates the existence of German nationalism.

No, because what matters isn’t genetics, what matters is winning two world wars instead of losing them.

I actually descend from these people, and I am not ethnically German, I'm Anglo with significant German ancestry from 250 years ago. These people did not care for Germany, thats why they left and went to a majority protestant country where they could own land.
