Tacos and burrittos and authentic style gorditas are my favorite food. Authentic mexican and texmex are god tier.

They’re pretty good. I prefer corn tortillas to flour ones. It also depends what carne you use. Shrimp tacos are pretty good but tacos with beef are the most common and least expensive. But yes tacos are good

What do Spaniards eat then?

ah chingada madre se me cayeron los pinches tacos puta madre
oye compaito, me sirves otros es que se me cayeron wey

ITT: Mexicans desperately try to convince foreigners that their teensy weensy "tacos" are better than our improved version.

Attached: HardShellTaco.jpg (1280x560, 83K)

jamon, tortilla,tapas etc

Yes, they are genuinely extremely delicious. Both American and Mexican versions are good, just in different ways.

is it cooked with olive oil?

Our national dish is very good yes.

The ones ive had were not

sounds unhealthy user...

Yes they are. I live next to a taco truck (their tortillas are hand made). I'm getting fucking fat.

Attached: 1200px-001_Tacos_de_carnitas,_carne_asada_y_al_pastor.jpg (1200x900, 265K)

It's flatbread with toppings. Sure, it's good.

Probably so but most things in my country are. Either way Spanish-user if you ever get the chance to try one you should. One or two of them won’t hurt you

>Either way Spanish-user if you ever get the chance to try one you should
i will, there is a taco bell in Madrid

It's great

>I prefer corn tortillas to flour ones.
Well that's good because I don't think it would be a taco anymore in a flour tortilla. But yeah corn definitely has the superior taste and texture for most things imo.

Taco Bell is trash

Taco Bell isn't tacos, at all. I'm not just being a snob. They literally bear no resemblance whatsoever to a Mexican taco.

why

not gonna lie. These looks at least 3x better than OP's pic

Don't go to taco bell holy shit is like if you wanted to eat mcdonals before eating a homemade grilled ribeye authentic burger.
You tíos need to accept mexican culture more. put the past aside and accept culture from ours

I like to slather a giant flour tortilla in sour cream and then two smaller corn tortillas for the flavor and enhanced texture inside of that. I make "mega burittos" as someone once said. Crunchy hardshells and tostadas are good but i generally like huge loaded tacos that weigh 3 lbs. Very tex mex but only cilantro instead of lettuce like people seem to do.

Taco bell is my favorite fast food restaurant. I dont see it as authentic mexican food by any means but the shit they make is dank, whatever it is...

That sounds pretty good, ngl. And yeah lettuce on a taco is silly.

Do you always sound this annoying and desperate

Taco bell sounds pretty nice, too bad we don't have it. It would probably be a banger here, though.
Would be nice with some real tacos once in a while.

I think he's just trying to be diplomatic, m8, relax.

How fucking obese are you

If it is some Spaniard cute guy, YES definitely. I have a master-slave gay fetish towards spaniards

Never mind, I spoke too soon. My bad.

Skinny as fuck actually. Im 6'1 and only 160 lbs t.t i have to eat like 3000 calories everyday to just maintain my weight on days im not working.

>Don't go to taco bell holy shit is like if you wanted to eat mcdonals before eating a homemade grilled ribeye authentic burger.
we have a mexican restaurant in Alcala de Henares ( Cervantes was born in this town) , maybe i should try it there

pic related

Attached: La-Chelinda-Alcalá-6.jpg (1366x910, 89K)

Yeah the traditional cauliflower tacos.

It's very bad for you but man is it so good, especially if you've been drinking. Nothing beats the original, though.

Please tell me you only eat that once in a while and not everyday

>Nothing beats the original, though.
Is their original taco that good?

Start a petition or something, it would be popular as fuck. Taco bell is perfect guilty pleasure/night of drinking food. My gf is mexican and makes top tier mexican food but i still love me some taco bell every once and awhile. Fucking chalupas i can eat those everyday

>he can eat Taco Bell every day

It must be awesome having a mexican gf to make taco bell at home. We only have Ch*Leans

A taco is just a way to serve food, the important thing is the filling.

Sorry but I think this guy is a bit more knowledgeable since he's clearly the taco enthusiast in this thread.

I do an extravagent taco night about once a month and gorge. I usually eat lots of chicken because it is cheap, id love to eat steaks and ground beef/hamburgers/tacos/red meat everyday though. Tomorrow im doing breaded pork chops though causenit sounds great and its been awhile

tacos de chapulines are unironically the best kind prove me wrong

Attached: imrs[1].jpg (1484x1130, 276K)

Go fuck yourself, Anders. We're trying to have a comfy thread about food here.

I've never had those in a taco but insects really are underrated by the first world. This from a middle class white American. Pic is would eat/10

Id be scared of that. Ive gotten used to barbacoa tacos but that is probably the most extreme id go. P.s i am allergic to avocados and want to kill myself everyday because of it, my gf uses it alot in her food and ive accidentally taken bites of what she was eating and wondered why it was good then start dying a minute later.

Those are a novelty thing, there are larvae and other bugs tacos but you have to find a place that serve that exotic tourist shit.

Attached: taco-arabe-historia-puebla.jpg (1920x1080, 215K)

Is that sliced pork belly?

well i was skeptical about it but they were pretty good. it has a weird salty grassy flavor like when you lick your lips after you mow your lawn i can't really explain it that well

I'm was only putting the Mexican in his place. Taco bell is american right? And that's where the name taco comes from?

This is almost identical to a gyro.

Interdasting. Are tostilocos a novelty thing they've become a popular thing in hipster restaurants here

Attached: _TSE8966.0.0[1].jpg (1200x675, 99K)

I think Tacobell is good, I'd prefer the American version over the standard tacos desu, to me they're better, but a lot of Mexicans tend to praise normal tacos and are egoistic, the reason why they shame anyone who doesn't like the original, but oh well, personally I think they're a bit overrated.

Dang, now im curious. Ill see if anywhere here where i live serves the more exotic tacos.

You're bullshitting right?

Wtf is that? It looks good I guess, i just can't tell what I'm looking at.

It's pork, ironically is based in doner kebab

Döner is beef, though. Its an ottoman dish after all.
Gyros are pork, though.

No it's like the new cro-nut or whatever it was called

youtube.com/watch?v=otxFQW8MsTI
I don't really know how to describe it tbqh

>Gyros are pork, though.
Gyros here is lamb and beef. I've had grilled pork souvlaki but I've never heard the term gyros applied to pork before.

>living in a mexican country
>not eating tacos
Haha

Gyros can be everything from lamb, beef, pork. The point is that döner is NOT pork.

It's a shame that tex mex is more popular worldwide than authentic Mexican food.

Idk much about chilean food. My good friend is venezuelan but his wife is chilean, and ive had tamales made by her that were delicious. And yeah a mexican gf is nice because their grandmas seem to teach them how to cook at a young age like its a very important thing lol. "Keep your man fed" my gf is all woke and stuff but deep down she just wants to be the abuela that makes the best food that everyonre in the family wants to eat and wear aprons and shit. She likes blowing my white family away with some crazy mexican dishes theyve never heard of

But fajitas are good

Taco Bell tacos are ass. Shit minced dog food meat and tortillas. Their other items like chalupas, gordita crunch, grilled stuft burrito, crunchwrap supreme are excellent though.

Sounds amazing. Lets hope she doesn't transform into the stereotypical abuela, m'right? :D ;) :D ;)
Either way, what's a tamale, never heard of it?

There is literally nothing not to like about fajitas, so while agree with the CHI, your argument is sound.

She does zoomba classes and stuff, she is slim besides where it counts. And wth dude google tamales, they are god tier. Maize and meat formed into finger foods you peel a husk off of.

(You)

Attached: Tacos al pastor + guacamole.jpg (1067x430, 186K)

How popular is guacamole in Mexico? Does the whole country eat it or is it regional? It's everywhere here but I don't know if that's a Mexican or American thing.

>She does zoomba classes
hot
The tamales looks a bit odd, though. Can you make them at home?
I wouldn't know how this tasted at all, brochacho. Describe?

They do look weird but they are pure heavenly flavor and texture. Yeah my neighbors actually make them at home alot and i buy a huge bag from them every couple weeks. Idk how to make them exactly but i can eat 15 of them in one sitting. Very addicting food

Fun fact, tamales were a ubiquitous Aztec food, in pretty much the same form as today's.

according to whom

Tacos al pastor are one of the absolutely most ridiculously delicious food I've ever eaten, ever.

they sound amazing, but i think i'll have to visit the states or mexico to get a hold on some.

avocado alone can be used pretty much in every meal, almost like an expensive sauce

like a doner kebab of pork but marinated in orange juice, achiote (it's somewhat spicy and gives a nut flavor) and chilli peppers (can't really explain the flavor of the chilli varieties), vinager and sometimes pinneaple juice

I went to the Wikipedia page and they're even older than I thought. That's seriously fascinating.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamale

I literally can't imagine the taste. Its so foreign.

Do you think New York has tamales? It the only city in america i would travel to (becaus of distance. Flying as a tall person sucks)

going to order some tacos right now

will post pics once they arrive

Attached: 1548954856877.jpg (1024x576, 50K)

nice

The taste of tacos al pastor can hardly be described. It's marinated pork, but the marinade has a very special sweet-sour-chili (not spicy tho) taste. In any case to me, they'd be worth travelling to mexico just to stuff my face all day erry day.

New York has every food in the world, and yeah you can get tamales there, or anywhere else in the US, very easily. They're widespread in both true Mexican cuisine and Tex-Mex as well.

Attached: jealous.gif (360x270, 50K)

Hell yeah.

Fuck bros i love mexican food so much, it is my food soulmate

I lived for three years in Mexico. I hate almost everything about that shithole. Except the food, which is absolutely eldergod tier

Esta, pero unironicamente.

This is exactly how I feel about the deep south US.

What are good Spanish meals? My roommate used to make this weird chickpea soup thing that I don't know what it was but it's delicious

ah man
it's sad actually hearing that people that visited your country hated it

WHat are the chances a mexican joint in NYC have it?
That's what i though.

put the ham inside the tortilla
not that hard
a ham taco would be weird tho

I found a restaurant here that supposedly sells authentic mexican food.

is it any good?

kys fag

Tacos al pastor are easy to find but it's important that you look for authentic Mexican restaurants though. "Mexican food" is misunderstood by many burgers to mean Tex-Mex food, though, and while Tex-Mex is good shit in its own right, you won't find tacos al pastor at those joints.

I didn't just visit, my mother is from there, but I don't really consider myself mexican, since I barely ever lived there. Sorry bro. Mexicans are worse people than spaniards, which is quite a feat. Backstabbing phoney assholes. The worst kind of people I ever met. Not all ofc, but 9 out of 10. I had the worst depression when I was living there because everyone was such a cunt to me. I realize I'm not the most chad/popular guy, but jfc mexicans were soulless.

>WHat are the chances a mexican joint in NYC have it?
certainly. I remember I found some pretty decent pastores when I was there once. Just google for good tacos al pastor in NYC, you're bound to find something. Try a few places perhaps.
