Jow Forums what would you do if you do if you could invent/reinvent your own religion?
Lets say its guaranteed it will gain a major following, to keep things constant lets say 10% of the current native Western European population.
You can pull from any doctrine, any story, any religious hierarchy, any practice, any ritual, any belief etc from any religion in the present or past, or just create your own.
What would your religion be?
If it's a reinvention of a religion what is different about it?
What are the core beliefs of Hetanism? Curious because never heard of it before desu.

I'd use Theravada Buddhism as a template since it has the least amount of metaphysical cruft and therefore least likely to interfere with cultural evolution, jurisprudence, and acceptance of scientific findings. Remove monasticism and add Sikhism's martial philosophy by creating mythological stories about defence against oppressive tyrants. I'd also like to encourage financial cunning but that isn't a part of Judaism, Confucianism, or Daoism.

it's just Armenian paganism. They have a lots of influences from Zaroastriansim and Hellenism-Greek Gods later on. Just Google Armenian mythology. I just think we had cool Gods like Anahit, Mihr, etc Hellenism is ok too, I'd want it back
Christianity, and everything's the same, except it's cool to have tons of teenage girlfriends with budding boobies, and the cops can't do anything about it because it's part of my freedom of religion.

holy shit i've been looking for this guy i've been going crazy i thought i was imagining him but there he is, he's real!
He obviously lost that battle. I forget exactly how this happened but ate the order of St. George (tsarist Russian medal of honor) to keep the soviets from getting it, but a bullet bounced off of it or something and killed the guy on the firing line that was supposed to kill him.
Last one, for those that don't know the Mad Baron that well, he was declared by the Dalai Lama to be the incarnation of the god of war. He crossed his christian religion with buddhism, and was also tolerant of Islam, but he killed Communists and Jews on sight. Also he was ok of any kind of drug being practiced in his army as long as it didn't affect the mission.
