Because it's just a dumb down Germanic language

brute language
throw words one after another, not many rules, done, now you can communicate with almost everyone because everybody learns the same and butchers it just like me

It's a barbarian simple language, almost ooga-booga type.

I eat
He eats
We eat
You eat

Fucking simple

Why are australians making these threads so often lately?

Agreed. I can't express myself properly with this mitted language.

Also, checked

Do you think English speakers are more forgiving of mistakes? I posted in French a few times on /fr/ and they bullied me for how shit I am at their language like total autists, meanwhile whenever I see someone post in broken English I just find it funny and perfectly fine

Are we?

usually because is taught at school since toddler age

You can't compare the internet with real life, people who speak broken English IRL are treated like retards like in every other part of the world

It's funny on Jow Forums but imagine Japanese posters trying to do a business presentation, that's why ESL exists

overexposure

It's simple enough and there's lots of media around for it.

i still make mistakes with it. feels brainlet.

Really simple grammar, so inmersion is often enough to learn a broken version of the language you can later use for media consumption and shitposting. That doesn't mean most of us don't look like retards when we try to communicate in english irl.

this is it's a dumbdown romance language. If you speak a western european language English is easy as fuck.

The phonetics of both your languages gives everyone else a pounding headache so don't stroke your cock that hard

compared to other indo european languages, it's very simple

i think you are mistaken friend
we dont care what english speakers, as in natives think about how we speak english

i care that frogs, krauts, pajeets and everyone around me understands what i wana say, probably making mistakes, and i understand what they wana say with their bad english

natives dont matter

it's like talking a retarded version of french.

It's harder to stay in a bubble with the sheer output of media produced in English, especially for more minor languages. Entertainment helps.

The only language I know any decent amount of is Japanese thanks solely to having such a competitive media industry. Despite being surrounded by Spanish speakers and learning Spanish in school, I can't speak or really understand any of that because there's nothing interesting about their language.

this, people tend to forget english is seen as the airport language, just need to butcher some words to be understood, don't need to have deep conversations with english anyway they are too dumb and irrelevant for that purpose.

Idk english just is everywhere i guess.

nah theyre just used to retardation

It's a g*rmanic language, what did you expect?

English is a fucking great language, sounds and feel good, and saturates the entire world. 95% of all movies and games I played since childhood were in english, of course you pick it up quickly.

Years of education as well as being constantly bombarded with English language media and English language internet.
Most of them can't speak English for shit, though.

Because you are exposed to it everywhere if you arent a boomer

It's present everywhere from the day you are born. Song lyrics, video games, TV shows, business language etc.

Is that a good or bad thing?

A lot of content to consume

Both, I only really can't stand it when companies advertise with English slogans because that's modern and cool. We should preserve our own language too.
