I did. It failed.

But I did

start a business or buy a business (invest)

Same reeeeee

why spend money creating something, when you can spend money on something that was already built, and then run it into the ground?

What keeps you from trying again?
A man should be running a business.
It's your only escape from creating a wage cuck legacy.

then buy a business as a stock shareholder only
no need to run it yourself. let the pros run it.

I am trying again thanks for the words of encouragement user 3rd times the charm maybe

>What keeps you from trying again?

THE FACT THAT IM FUCKING RUINED YOU FAGGOT CHILD.

Go for it user! I wish you all the best.
Even if it is not the third time, eventually you'll get there.

What, are you a little snow flake who can't start from scratch?
Pathetic, I'll be pursuing the option even if I am knee's deep in debt.

>i have

What book is this OP?

>never engage in rent seeking
Is this advice on how to stay poor?

Wtf does that even mean

It's "Skin in the Game" by NN. Taleb.
From the INCERTO essays, required reading for all IMO.
Some excerpt articles:

I'd say Taleb has a quite nice track record of not being poor.

Taking his advice, goyim.

> Rent-seeking is an attempt to obtain economic rent (i.e., the portion of income paid to a factor of production in excess of what is needed to keep it employed in its current use) by manipulating the social or political environment in which economic activities occur, rather than by creating new wealth.

90% of all all new businesses fail within the first year.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Fair enough, he's describing "ethical" business. However, every rich person you've ever heard of is there from rent seeking. It's where real miney comes from. Hedge funds are 50% gamnling 50% rent seeking

That he want you to saty poor. Passive income should always be the end-game. Once you've amassed a considerable sum (5 million burger dollars or more) you should aim for a passive income by putting your money in safe investments like government bonds rather than stocks. With a multi-million sum, even a return of 5% per year will provide a cash flow sufficient to pay for your expenses without having to work another day in your life.

Unless you want to become a multi-billionaire and live like an Arab prince, there is no reason to keep running risks after making a few millions. Opt out of the game and get a passive income.

Mainly because I don't have any good business ideas

An entire chapter on the wage-cuck too.

I had a business some years ago. Government took 50% of my earnings. Closed it after a year and found better way to do biz. It's a big fn meme. All leeches must die.

I plan to do so eventually.
When I have capital.

Is shitcoin consultancy a valid business?

because 90% of people are retarded like you

No. Gtfo danger

right? also dont virtue signal? surely in some businesses that’s also a way to lose money

fuck im getting this book

>I don't know how
>I don't have a decent starting capital
>I'm socially inept
>I'm 25, but I genuinely look like I'm 15, so no one would take me seriously

Attached: 49328412384923.jpg (400x400, 26K)

>I'm 25, but I genuinely look like I'm 15, so no one would take me seriously

you should capitalize on that and sell your asshole

there's your business

an ugly as fuck 15 year old

Because I put all my savings into internet meme coins

what book this?

>born idiot

all assholes look the same.

"Skin in the game"

aah, sorry for being new to the thread and jumping posts like a nigger.

>all assholes look the same
hence, you can't use it as a selling point and you'll drown in the ocean of assholes

This book is my Bible. I knew about Taleb for a couple of years but never read him, as I got more into different topics people kept mentioning him, so I just got his latest book on my ereader. I read it in 3 days and I'm so blown away by the insights, I'm still mulling over them. It's a book that shouldn't be just read, it should be studied and applied. I'm reading everything he's ever published and throwing my skin and soul in the game. I had similar insights on smaller scale, but this generalization he makes makes muh dik hard. He solves some issues the philosophy of pic related has. Read it biz.

I started my first company at 18 with a 14 year old business partner. Just fucking do it. Even if it fails, it's experience.

Get the entire INCERTO.

It's the most life changing series of books I have ever read. It's quite good as audiobook too (Get it on audible). Fooled by randomness is by far my favorite book by Taleb. The Black Swan after (largest mind fuck). On my second re-read of Skin in the Game at this point.

Fair enough. I am retarded but at least I can admit it. You can't.

I want to help myself. Fuck all of you.

share with the class what ur attempt was

I'm going through it, though I'm pirating it from gen.lib.rus.ec/ or anywhere I can find good epub/pdfs. I highly recommend to anyone to get an ereader, especially if a student.

Something I'm noticing is that acquired knowledge like this is great, but you have to VERY VERY careful to actually apply it. It's extremely easy to know it but not internalize it. The only knowledge that matters is the one you actually use when acting in the world.

This fucking book... Only a pleb would waste time reading it.

Skin in the game, Skin in the game, Skin in the game, Skin in the game, Skin in the game...

He goes on and on, the monotony of his voice is almost tangible just a few pages in.

This is a book written by a narcisst with an almost desperation of self-reassurance and gratification in it. A book by a narcissist for narcissists. And ego massage for writer and reader.

Pure fucking pleb tier.

>Criticizing without offering a solution is bitching

Are you a woman?

But what if the business I buy into fails? Even through no fault of its own that could have been predicted... if only there was a way to spread out my capital and buy into dozens or even hundreds of businesses at once... really makes you think!

With an attitude like that, no wonder

This. Talebs later books are shitty

>Remember fren is amazing artist
>Tell him to draw decal designs for me
>75/25.
>make about 2k to 3k a month.
>he fucking left the bussiness because he is one of those "free" artists that shouldn't be bound to no company

Outsource it to fiverr.

Ok here's a solution, rather than read this babble read a proper book like The Intelligent Investor.

Thanks user, I have already read it though but this it what it is like to be a man.
