A considerable portion of each of our GDP goes in to this shitfest, most of which is laundered away by politicians for their own gain.
So in summation you have a war on each fronts where identical people fight each other while politicians (on each side) make money and stay in power and countries like USA, Israel and China get richer from the military sales to fuel this perpetual shitfest.
Most educated Indians don't even want war, I can guarantee this is the same way your average educated Pakistani feels as well. This is all perpetuated by politicians and the uneducated populace buy it since they're easily swayed away and some jingoistic fucktards because that's the only thing they can talk about. But neither of these groups will ever be endangered by the prospect of an actual war, they'll remain entirely safe while our soldiers die for a war that could've been prevented easily.

When India and Afghanistan were Soviet allies in the 70s, the US started attempting to destabilize us and support Pakistan. India was a difficult task but Afghanistan was easier. They armed and funded extremists and Afghanistan which was doing pretty well at the time, fell into ruin.
