Why would it tho?

Not sure, I just pictured it as apocalyptic for some reason
Logan Ortiz
The place is fucking apocalyptic and the only good places are either pre-revolutionary/early soviet districts (like 1,5 of them, mostly in the center), districts built around important factories in stalinist and early post-stalinist times (2-3 of them), and Akademgorodok. They are tiny. Once you venture beyond them, everything looks like shit. This is the third sized city in Russia, yet it is built like shit, the infrastructure is shit (except for metro), the architecture is shit, and overall the whole place is a wasted opportunity and makes my Siberian patriotic soul hurt.
But the historical center is really neat and comfy. Akademgorodok is too.

Grayson Foster
Just remember that there is fuck all there but low skilled wörk.
Josiah Price
Well yeah, that's how the city looked like a 100 years ago.
It only really started growing when the railbridge over Ob' was constructed here back in 1897. It's amazing we have non-wooden pre-revolution buildings at all
Benjamin Powell
That looks good though.

Worst part of Metro Exodus. After the Caspian level the game went downhill.
Cooper Lee
Not really, the place has a lot of potential, wasted because of rampant corruption

I used to hate that street, until last year I took a walk there at night.
The contrast between the shitty dusty street filled with disgusting commie- and capblocks, rolled into asphalt and concrete, and a post-soviet cyberpunk street filled with loneliness and bright lights was neat.
Tyler Hill
Isn't Nobosibirsk one of those Siberian cities that's more or less controlled by a mining company?
Aaron Barnes
>Nobosibirsk
>Not Hobosibirsk
Well you could call our government a mining company, but this isn't a mining city, no
John Cruz
My bad, I must be confusing it with another city that begins with N. I watched a documentary about it a while back, they ran the whole city just like American mining companies used to do back in the 1800s
Aiden Nelson
Was it Norilsk?

I don't remember where it's from or even what it was but it reminded me of that girl who uses trains to go to school everyday since she lives in a rural place. The train station was going to shutdown but they waited for her to graduate or something.
