Will Americans ever have enough firearms?

the funny thing is that when the government finally starts doing gun confiscations 99% of all these "i need muh ar15 to overthrow the tyrannical gubmint" will just hand over all their guns without a fight lmao.
Asher Carter
Dominic Jenkins
Triggered.
Andrew Thomas
this desu, but it makes sense. most of these weekend warriors aren't going to fight when their families need them
but there will still be quite a few people, even if it's a tiny fraction
Jack Martinez
nope
Adam Gonzalez
firearms perpetuate the neoliberal brainwashing in america
Josiah Flores
The government is never going to do gun confiscations
James Morales
Fudds piss me off, they are like your typical gun grabbers, yet worse because either they are bullshitting or they don't know they are gungrabbers. Seriously though, if someone can afford an IFV as I said in another thread, they should have a right to, because "the right to bear ARMS (not guns ARMS) shall not be INFRINGED, and we need to legalize full autos
Owen Howard
they already have, little by little though, little by little
Cooper Clark
The framers of the constitution didn't write that with fucking machine guns in mind.
Fuck off with your stupid need to compensate for something with huge guns
Samuel Young
really stupid fucking question: if my state passes a law banning something like 30-round mags, but someone owned them before the law passed, what do they do? do they hand the mags in?
Oliver Clark
Can you elaborate
I can't recall a single gun control measure passed since the 90s
Jaxson Thompson
didn't trump just ban bump stocks? or has that not passed yet. obama passed no restrictions, he only wrote a few laws that expanded freedoms
Luke Cooper
shut the fuck up, and enough with the they didn't have THOSE guns in mind bullshit, I have nothing to compensate for, and seeing as how the framers were well educated, I'm pretty sure they realized that in the future weapons would be more advanced, the purpose of the 2nd amendment was so that the people (citizens) had a means to take down to the government. Say our government does indeed become tyrannical, do you take fight against a modern, well equipped military with muskets?
Asher Perez
the assault weapons ban of 1994 was a big one and to a lesser extent, the brady act too
Jace Butler
Some might some might not, there is no way to track people who owned 30 round mags before the ban, but if found out, said mags may be confiscated from their owner
Dominic Reyes
thanks. I should probably buy my shit now
Benjamin Taylor
Bump stocks are banned, so I guess that is one
I don't know if it fully counts though since it's just an accessory to a gun, though
Those both happened in the 90s though, the political climate is a lot different
>I have nothing to compensate for
You sure
>I'm pretty sure they realized that in the future weapons would be more advanced
Probably
Wondering if they foresaw nuclear weapons and thought that United Stated citizens deserved access to them?
Also, the US government is already pretty tyrannical if you're not white, looks like the right to bear arms really isn't helping there
Oliver Murphy
I think its kind of crazy how I just witnessed in the moment how the US gun lobby's fear campaign of politicians taking your guns works to bolster their sales.
Isaac Ortiz
ah, I misread, I thought it said 1990, my point was in the broad aspect of American history, the 2nd amendment was chipped away drastically, at one point it was legal for citizens to own full autos believe it or not, and here you go, you believe the govt is tyrannical, yet you dont think people should own certain weapons, why? If the govt is indeed tyrannical towards nonwhites, then wouldnt you want to protect yourself? assuming you are nonwhite that is. And yes I have nothing to compensate for, penis size or otherwise, don't give a damn what others think about me, and dont really care
Wyatt Ramirez
the NRA are fudds more than anything, they have done little to actually defend or make gains in gun rights and have instead only ripped people off and lined their own pockets. Shit like this is why I am more inclined towards the GOA
James Jackson
one thing to note is this: the NRA is against 3d guns, and gun parts, because if people could print them out at home, why would they need to buy it from a NRA backed gun store?
Elijah Cooper
I'm not actually scared of gun grabbing, but here in the northeast a lot of politicians are putting in more restrictions, like on magazine sizes. vermont used to be known as the socialist extremely pro-gun state, but recently they've put in some restrictions, and I imagine the trend will continue. why wouldn't they? many states in the northeast are already highly restrictive. you talk down and say I'm brainwashed (I don't consume any lobbyist media in any form), when I'm really just looking at what's happening in the world.
Kevin King
I'm white, so it's not a direct issue for me, but I would rather demilitarize our police and teach them to use nonlethal methods and pass gun control so the oppressors and the oppressed don't have as much firepower rather than both being armed to the teeth, but honestly with the level of saturation of guns in US society I don't know if that's possible
John Collins
Well I guess it's different for me in Texas, where our politicians passed open carry for literally everything, from guns to swords
Justin Diaz
>Beginning April 11, 2018, the manufacture, possession, transfer, sale, purchase, or receipt or importation into Vermont of large capacity ammunition feeding devices is prohibited. This prohibition does not apply to large capacity ammunition feeding devices lawfully possessed on or before April 11, 2018, and the prohibition on importation into Vermont does “not include the transportation back into this State of a large capacity ammunition feeding device by the same person who transported the device out of State if the person possessed the device on or before” April 11, 2018. The prohibition on possession, transfer, sale, and purchase of large capacity ammunition feeding devices lawfully possessed by licensed dealers before April 11, 2018 does not take effect until October 1, 2018.
Hunter Price
I am not white, yet also not a mutt. A demilitarization of the police force is something I am for, especially if it includes the ATF, since compared to the military they lack in discipline as we can see in numerous shootings. Yet a government when it has something to its advantage will not give it up. Plus, there is also the issue of external threats, say we disarm or pass gun control for the entire military, which seems to be what you are saying (correct me if I am wrong), what of external threats. The founding fathers had foresight, the bill of rights was specifically built to prevent and get rid off any tyrannical govt. Look at it this way, how owuld you pass said bills, the govt is the one that passes bills, why would a govt, a tyrannical govt especially willingly lose power. This is where the 2nd amendment comes in: a citizen is able to fight against this force if needs be
Joseph Cook
Brody Turner
I don't want to demilitarize our military, but I do want to demilitarize our police force. Cops don't need fucking machine guns and armored cars in this day and age, the crime rate has been consistently going down for fuck sakes.
I just have faith in our military to not brandish their weapons against our citizens. I know a lot of people who enlisted and I don't think they would ever listen to an order to kill an American citizen, and I think a lot of people in the chain of command would break.
Luke Morales
yeah, we're worlds apart in that sense. I'm in PA, which has looser laws, but NJ, NY, and MA are right next door and have incredibly strict laws, and I notice a trend towards them, if ever so slight, in other northeast states. maybe it's paranoia, but it sucks that I'm geographically restricted from areas just a few miles away over state lines because I'm carrying.
Robert Miller
never count on that which is not certain, I am pretty sure at least some troops would break nevertheless, but the common man should be allowed to buy what weapons he can afford too in case of a tyrannical takeover. Many governments in history have fell from a republic to tyranny so it can indeed happen
Elijah Price
>The government is never going to do gun confiscations
Samuel Phillips
SHALL
Lincoln Williams
I dont care how many of lefty kids die no one is taking mine
Joseph Collins
>Also, the US government is already pretty tyrannical if you're not white
Leo Evans
lmao on your bike you fucking effeminate nigger
Levi Howard
Firearms are BASED and with the amount of crazies running around in the states you'd do well to own a couple.
