>Taiwan -literally a small island -meager 23m population -motherfucking TSMC which is THE silicon foundry of the world, already testing 5nm whilst la creaturas at Intel cannot put 10nm into production -Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Acer and other tech giants that make and design all parts of PCs -Merida, one of the best bicycle makes in the world (whose bikes I can wholeheartedly recommend personally) -beautiful scenery -exquisite and tasty cuisine -contrary to the mainlander bugmen they have preserved their language and culture, the island is littered with small shrines -bigger economic footprint than r*ssia (not an achievement I know) -almost all of economy is cutting edge high tech companies -not a centralized plutocratic shithole like Korea who only have Samsung and Hyundai -constant economic growth despite proximity to a hostile superstate
name a more BASED & REDPILLED country, go on, I'll wait. What's wrong, you can't?
I used to be an Airbnb host for my apartment rooms but Taiwanese tourists were by far the nicest among all foreign travelers.
I even offered some of them dinner at a fancy sushi restaurant to show my appreciation.

I like the Chinese Taipei/Taiwan ROC I would like to go there in my lifetime, but I don't know if I would be excluded from entering the PRC, besides, I don't want to be pic related. Fuckin based Japanon. If I go there, will you invite me too?
Taiwan is just an US colony roleplaying as a first world country. They can't even keep their students despite the massive aids and investments from the US.
>constant economic growth despite proximity to a hostile superstate lmao all of their trade is reliant on China. The CCP can literally turn Taiwan to a 3rd world shithole within 1 month without even firing a bullet.
My brother in law is from Taiwan and I went on a month long trip to Taiwan with him and my sister to see his family and sightsee. Had a great time. I miss apple milk.
Give us half of what Taiwan, Japan, South Korea or Singapore got from the west, especially the US to serve as showcases against communism and we'd be the same.

>Correction: A March 19th version of this post incorrectly stated that wages are as low, or nearly the same, in Taiwan as in Mexico. Wages are higher in Taiwan in both nominal and purchasing power parity terms, according to Taiwan government data provided for this post. The earlier miscalculation arose from the writer’s comparisons of unrelated wage data available at the time online. Earlier wage data for Taiwan excluded supplementary earnings such as bonuses and overtime pay. An earlier version of the post also erroneously compared purchasing power parity wages in Mexico to nominal wages in Taiwan. The writer regrets any confusion or misunderstanding.
Did you even open the article or simply read the misleading title?

One wrong formula doesn't invalidate a whole article you retarded pole.
it actually does when the whole article's argument is based around it you dumb fucking jean moloud parisian nigger

>already testing 5nm whilst la creaturas at Intel cannot put 10nm into production Are you fucking retarded. newatlas.com/ibm-5-nm-transistors-chip/49872/ That's from 2017. Production will start in 2020 but will probably be overshadowed by India becoming a superpower.

Is it true that Taiwan is a favorite vacation spot for the Japanese?
Lucas Campbell
oh please then do enlighten where the fuck are 10nm intel cpus available for purchase? meanwhile 7nm tsmc node is found inside any new iphone or ipad
Christian Morris
Too bad Best China will come and kick their little Islands ass soon.

You realize TMSC 7nm chip was designed by Apple. Just like the one Samsung makes is from IBM. TMSC's only other 7nm chip is designed by Huawei. Manufacturing someone else's design just makes you the labor. The technology isn't theirs. Also, I have no idea why Intel is dragging their ass.
Ayden Stewart
They've tried it so many times and failed. The two have an open dialogue anyways.
>-motherfucking TSMC which is THE silicon foundry of the world, already testing 5nm whilst la creaturas at Intel cannot put 10nm into production Good. I am glad they will become a part of China soon, they could use that technology to actually help the world and not just to stack profits.
Hmm. I agree with the most part, but why did you have to talk shit about korea at the end? Also, Those companies make good pc parts but nothing great or important. CPU/VGA are deveoped In The States And SSD/RAM are developed in South Korea. Companies like Acer MSI etc do is just adding cooling solutions and overclocking those NVIDIA/AMD VGA chipsets. That's all can do also TSMC doesnt develop semiconductors they are all develop by companies like Samsung or Intel What TSMC do is just producing them
First of all, let's not downplay the degree of engineering that Asus/Msi etc has do on with their products, it goes far beyond simple cooling solution and has to do more with board design and schematics. Secondly, Nvidia may be an US company nominally but it has strong roots with Taiwan, also both its CEO and AMD's CEO are Taiwanese Samsung's NAND and RAM are indeed of superb quality (can't say the same for their monitors or phones sadly). TSMC develops NODES, which is one of the main driving forces between performance increases of semiconductor chips. Nvidia 10 series is basically Maxwell on the new 16nm node instead of 28nm, which enabled it to reach 2 ghz clocks, but IPC remained pretty much the same, so Nvidia owes Pascal popularity to TSMC. And of course I didn't mean Korea is a literal shithole in a serious way, it's a very strong economy, but comparing it with Taiwan it become kinda apparent that Korea's is much more consolidated compared to a more diversified Taiwanese.
