Moreso, Europeans can't speak English, and when they do it sounds like they are barking like dogs. Both UK and NA have console culture over PC culture. The buildings look the same. The food is very similar. Same language same thought patterns. We can actually watch british entertainment and understand every word. American writers write books based in England. Well, I'd agree we are closer to the US than Sweden is due to historical links. We've also diverged when it comes to certain values, though. We're more willingly "socialised" politically (from a US standpoint) and much less into religion, aside from a host of other stuff. The obesity thing is apparent in some other European countries as well (unhealthy modern diet and drinking culture).

II mean we obviously have linguistic and historical links but I think otherwise the UK and USA are very different nations in culture, economy, religion
