Vicuñas from all over Peru are traditionally sheared annually in an event known as chakku, pic related a small chakku being performed in the Yauyos Landscape Reserve

A chakku consists in encircling wild vicunas by forming human barriers (by hundreds of people when is a large vicuña population) to flush them out of the mountains into corrals where vicuñas are held in captivity for a few hours in order to shear them.

Did the Inca just use Alpacas for wool or did they pull and carry things too?

What are those squares in the bottom left of the lake?

They used them to carry things but not heavy loads because they're not very strong.

pre-Columbian terraces in yauyos

you can see that the area was terraced but eroded due to the passage of time

I think (not sure) they are used to catch fish
llamas are the ones that carry things, alpacas are too weak but I guess you can make them carry very light stuff if you're in a hurry.

How is mexico and korea seen by peru?

Why do you trap wild animals to shear them?

did you do the Inca Trail or similars?
>Mexico
they are known by Chavo del Ocho, Latin american dubs, mariachis, etc
>Korea
most Peruvians don't know much about Korea but some girls like k-pop or Korean doramas
Because vicuña fiber is very priced (is finer than alpaca)

also Pisac is a pretty cool place
they are kind of nostalgic here too because they are reminiscent of the old days of Inca and pre-Incas, you see, terrace construction basically stopped after the conquest so most terraces in Peru are of Pre-Columbian origin and usually in ruins (around 60-80% of all terraces are completely abandoned and currently unused)
