Not true that either though, at least not here. My little brother and all his friends (13-14 years old) all listen to metal. Sure, they listen to other stuff as well but I often hear Megadeth and Marduk from his room. A lot of metalheads start early and keep on the same path until they end up in the ground. Unless you are one of those weirdos with a "metal phase" who listens to Slipknot for 2-3 years and then goes back to rap etc...
