Would you rather live in a comfy European town or a vibrant Asian megacity?
Would you rather live in a comfy European town or a vibrant Asian megacity?
a comfy European town
the former
Neither. I live in a medium sized European city and I like it a lot. Something smaller would bore me out and something bigger would probably confuse me.
My dream is to live in some East Asian mega city.
I would rather not live at all
I live in the only European megacity, deal with it.
I’d live in the latter while young and retire in the former.
Megacity.
I've never left Poland and I don't see a point to do so since we have everything here.
Vibrant Asian megacity looks cool from a distance, but actually being within it I doubt it's very comfy.
Personally I'd prefer a comfy European colonial town in the tropics.
European architecture looks like shit, nothing but drab and ugly depressing brick buildings, I'll take the asian megacity.
I'd live in a Euro town but party in a megacity
>we have everything here.
lol
Moscow is a mix of both
This. Montreal or Toronto for me.
H-how about wooden houses?
Moskaw? AHAHHAHA moskaw is an arsehole
The less people the better.
>old architectural styles full of ornamentation are drabber than modern plain architectural styles
This has to be bait.
Comfy of course.
All Russians I've seen here seem to really dislike Moscow? Is it really that bad?
I could never live in cities like Tokyo. All that people disgust me
The only Asians in Montreal are McGill students.
do you even have tigers there?
Flyovers are always jealous of the capital.
I think I would like living in Tokyo more than in Europe, if I have to leave nature behind.
This is how I think:
>Comfy european town with lots of nature > everything else
>Comfy european town without lots of nature < Tokyo
So it all depend on where in Europe you mean desu.
Wood is alright, much more appealing. That certainly looks a lot more charming that the brick Rowhouses you see in Paris.
Brick is just ugly IMO, I don't care how practical it is -- part of the reason I like the western US/Canada more than the east.
It's not bait. Brick is ugly and depressing
megacity, comfy european towns tend be boring tourist traps
the latter quite obviously
thanks for the laugh
No
I want to live in the woods and shoot animals
And also dom gf to bite me nipple and ears
Chinese cities:
>rapidly developing
>imposing, expensive glass skyscrapers
>well developed transport and technology
>have populations of 20+ million people
>absolutely loads of things to see and do
>big buildings everywhere you go, making you feel like you're truly part of a bustling metropolis
European 'cities':
>rundown, dirty old buildings that nobody wants to demolish because "muh history, muh culture"
>full of drug addicts and refugees
>barely a million people but still counts as a 'city'
>actual centre of the city is a boring old town where all the tourists go: the rest is just sprawl; endless identical apartment buildings
When did you swallow the Sinopill and accept that Chinese conurbations are far superior to European oversized villages?
Aren't places like The Bronx, NY full of bare brick buildings? Pic related.
>he doesn't understand what third world means
This. It's truly unique in the sense that it's a European city in most ways but at the same time it's fucking huge. I'm in love with it although I must admit it's irrational since it's my home city.
Moscow has disadvantages of both*
>it's a European city
Delusional.
megacity of course
Russia and moskaw are different things. In moskaw live bastards and sluts, in Russia live russians. Remeber that russian gouvernement is in moskaw.
asian megacity. i like the convenience of being within 3min walking distance of everything i need.
boring larper
comfy European town
None I prefer the countryside
Of course, that's what I meant via east coast vs west coast.
Using brick in buildings in the western US/Canada is a lot less common for historical and practical reasons. In San Francisco it's pretty rare because brick buildings hold up pretty bad in earthquakes.
>i like the convenience of being within 3min walking distance of everything i need.
True in Europe too tho.
so... like in any european town? lol
vibrant megacity
Please don't compare Warsaw with an actual megacity next
>1.7 million people
>megacity
Pathetic
Also your "skyscrapers" aren't impressive at all. Not even in the top 25 in Europe
b-b-but MUH TALLEST IN EU SOON WITH ANTENNA WHICH IS 500KM WE SPACE ELEVATOR NOW
But those tall skyscrapers are only good for your life if you can live in them yourself, am I right?
Comfy big European city. After a certain point the increase in size only worsens the living conditions. Most anthill-megacity lovers are rural retards tbqhwyf.
they are also ugly as fuck. Looks like American ugly soulless skyskrapers. Only beautiful building is Stalin`s palace of culture
I misread your West/East comparison. Anyway, I've been to Madrid, Paris and a few other European cities and from what I remember, exposed brick buildings didn't seem that prevalent to me in old buildings. Isn't it more prevalent in modern residential buildings?
Is it affordable to live tall in the air in one of those tho? In NYC it's expensice af.
They shouldn't be too expensive since there's no shortage of apartments. It's diferent in every city though
Maybe not as common in continental Europe, but exposed brick was definitely common when I visited the UK. In Paris it's more of a mix between that and stone. Probably depends on how old the section of the city is, though.
were the countries inverted all yall euros would say you would live in the right side, calling the left side 'uncivilized/retrograde/outdated shithole'
you are very eurocentrist
>fantasy-tier whataboutism
New levels of cope.
Asian city cause there are good food literally everywhere
like walking for 5 mins and there would be a bunch of restaurants and food stalls
Neither
what are London, Paris and Istanbul?
>warsaw
>megacity
Are you stupid? A couple of medium-sized skyscrapers don't make it one.
München might be comfy but it's an incredibly boring city for its size.
If you said vancouver or richmond you might have had a joke, but you only revealed how much of a brainlet you really are.
I doubt I will ever leave my hometown. There are so many more beautiful places, but this is where my friends and family are.
lol butthurt
looks nice t.b.h.
I've lived next door to Koreans and Chinamen and I never never ever want to do that again.
So comfy European town it is.
