Is it making a living - or making a dying - when you only have 4 hours to yourself a day?
>get a job as a teacher >maybe 4 hours of lessons a day, free gym and pool access after hours, full pension scheme >spend rest of the time at work reading books or laughing about retarded sprogs I have to teach
feels good, live in a leafy green area of England so there's no pakis or poor people either

Would you rather live in the wild and hunt for animals to survive and trying to survey animals from hunting you and you only survived if you tripped one of your buddies as bait while you run off scot free?

Hi OP!
Used to be like you for 4 years.
Then something happened to me.
I realized that earning 25-35% more each month in exchange to free time was not worth it. Now i work 3x per week and 4x free and... i am happier. I never knew that if i took a paycut in exchange of money how much it would improve my work efficiency actually and happiness. IMO everyone should work max 4x per week or 3x per week. The free time is so worth it. Im never going back to work for 5x per week 9-5. It feels like a total slavery. Ofc this requires you to have a skillset and degree to live a life like this. I really liked someone post here that "You choose your lifestyle yourself". Its spot on. The change can happen now! You are the pathfinder! Heck a retard like i did it, then you can do it!
I have bedhair that needs water to fix and sweat after coming back from work in the humidity and heat

What is this shit? Longest work hours for what? When I was pounding young bubblebutt Colombians for years on end nearly any time job hours came up it was twelve hours a day Monday to Saturday.
There's no way half of the countries on that list are that bad.

Uh...huh. Wanna know how it is for most entrepreneurs/small businesses owners?
0730: Wake up and take a shower while brushing teeth 0745: Change into gym attire 0800: Time to pump iron! 0930: Get to work! *skip lunch* 2100: Done with work 2100-2200: Eat food/wash dishes 2200: Finally have uninterrupted free time 2330: Time for at least 8 hours of sleep to get dem gainz
So OP, is it making a living - or making a dying - when you only have 1.5 hours to yourself a day?
Anyways, it's all good. I mean, now you work for yourself! Maybe in 5 or 10 years you'll hustle enough to hire some employees and get 4 whole free hours a day! Just in time for your mid 30s-early 40s...wouldn't that be something?!
you're spending too much hours at your workplace and you're probably not working at all, kek

It's the total overall average work hours. I doubt being a twink and getting grinded on is considered real work... or even close to majority.

My wagecuck lifestyle >wake up 6:15, alarm is set for 7 as a backup >Shower, dress etc. & out the door by 6:40 >one bus to work, get there by 7:15-7:30 depending on if I got off early to walk >coffee for breakfast, lunch at 11 >leave work 3:30-4, home by 4-4:30 >solid 4-5 hours to myself before bed around 10-10:30
The best thing you can do to improve your work-life balance is to reduce your commute. It's been proven that every extra 1/2h on your commute reduces happiness as much as a 20% pay cut.

buying a motorcycle? would cost more but would win 50% of my commute
Eli Parker
I can relate to that personally. When i was doing my 4 year stint, i had a commute of 2h per day. Now it takes 20min per day. I realized that the 2h per day is actually money per hour. Take 4x5 which is 20 days per month x 12 which is 240 days per year. Thats about 480h of work time put to fucking commute. Think about it. If its money wise and you earn 10/h thats 4,8k money just for traveling around each year + the gas + the inflation (if you own a car).

I work 70-80 hours a week for 2 years now. Very humiliating job where the owner constantly pretends times are hard, while he pockets money. Times are hard because of the vehicle he just bought his wife and the casino trip he's trying to save for. Don't get me wrong, he should enjoy some profits, but the song and dance gets very old
But if I didn't live the way I lived I wouldn't be here now
