they have gotten/do get destroyed by chance of lost private keys, and likely continue to be to some extent (e.g. hardware wallets destroyed by explosion and whatnot), but overall the supply is currently growing.
and in the future, if nothing changes, it will likely stabelize with very-very minimal losses.
