They aren't. Look at "pure Catalan race" specimens like Sergio Busquets, Albert Boadella, Beth, Jordi Hurtado, Pep Guardiola or Gerard Moreno. They aren't white. This isn't even taking into account the fact that over half of Catalans are children of Andalusians and Extremadurans.
