The only people that like lightning network are the ones who only use crypto as a platform to gamble through investments, noone who actively uses it likes it. Ask yourself if BTC is really going to continue going up when it has no use and the only people wanting it are those wanting to later trade it back for more fiat.
Both XMR and BCH are more popular methods of payment now. The entire crypto market is going to tank horribly though, as the people who only see it as a speculative investment have to be driven into enough grief to sell first.
