Plato for practicality.
Aristotle for metaphysics.
Socrates surpasses them in both.

I'm a Platonist.

Have people actually read any works of those people or are you just armchair philosophists?

I've read Aristotle metaphysics tho. I am reading Plato now

I had and didn't like them. Only enjoyed the Symposium because they ended drunk and Alcibiades tried to have buttsex with Socrates.

btw, I enjoy more other kind of texts like Herodotus, Thucydides or Xenophon

I've heard parts of audiobooks of the Republic and mostly use secondary sources for the other two.

shave your neck,
and you've dropped your fedora
Aristotle is the second best philosopher.

>>Plato or Aristotle?

Aristotle as a gateway drug to Plato, then Whitehead. Also fuck nominalists, idealists and their ilk.

but why

Both. The world followed both, plato was secularized by g*rmans and now we're in a slow decline back to death. though it doesnt matter much to those who secularized aristotle

aristotelic idiot

go cuck yourself, platonist

Plato

I just find philosophy a waste of time. Pre-socratics are more fun anyway and I'm more interested in history so I prefer to read authors that talk about real life like Petronius or Martial.

plato means dish in spanish
xD

>I just find philosophy a waste of time
Being too young to understand it's value doesn't make it valueless. It's useful for life, but you only understand that in hindsight.

used to think the same, but you really end up making mistakes in life if you dont know what things you believe and value.

h-hi, what philosophy do you read?
