Yes we were part of UP, but their culture is radically different to ours. Racially, Himachalis, Uttarakhandis, and many Nepalis are said to be descendants of the Khasas from the Mahabharat, which is why we used to be known as Khas people and why Khas Arya is still a racial designation in Nepal. Does Himachal have the tradition of Jagar?
