i was drinking beer in sauna

I was two years old so I don't remember.

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard since that day.

>Where was you
I don't talk negro

True story, I was booking my airplane ticket to go to NY in December the same year.

In the cockpit

i was playing videogames. pls end my life

You're old as fuck man.

I wasnt born yet

I was returning from school. Damn my first year of school was really strange, all sorts of shit happening. My first day of school there was an Earthquake, later that year this shit happens.

I was 15 and got out of class for a week because my school was being used as a shelter for stranded burger travelers. Thank you, Bill Laden.

in the kindergarten, diggin' a hole in backyard, tryna find a hidden treasue

>all these zoomers
I was in class and people started being called to have parents pick them up (I grew up near DC, and people were worried they'd target schools) and my dad eventually picked me up and I was hyped to leave school until he turned on the news when I got home to show me what happened.

tfw I missed less school than you

I was in like 3rd grade grandpa

I was watching my cartoons and then my mom switched to another channel... IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CARTOONS!

i was drinking beer in sauna

This is false. Americans don't have beer.

This is not beer. Beer doesn't look like this.

About to go to school. My dad had a 90s ponytail and beard and told us that we didnt have to go to school today. Watched it on television and i remember my parents were shocked. I put a teddy outside the US embassy :)

It's not funny you fucking imbecile. Six muslims died there.

At home while my mom was watching a TV show about planes. That was all I understood to be happening at the time. I was 6.

I was playing games in my room. Then my mother called "user come see this", and I came just in time to see the planes crash into the tower. I was like "whoaaah" and thought we'd see a cool war soon. Sadly we saw the most boring war ever.

First plane hit at 1.45pm, so school I guess.
Didn't find out until I got home but I was 9 and didn't know or care what the world trade centre was.

we have the best microbrews in the world

On my way to school. The teacher told everyone how the things were going and when the first tower fell he claimed that a new war was about to come.

>reading something, barely paying attention to TV
>apparently they're showing some catastrophe joint
>start hearing voice of the news reporter
>just as I turn my attention to the TV the second plane crashes

Europe has been doing microbrews for decades, the US microbrews scene is a baby in comparison.

getting bullied in kindergarten

Came back from school and saw it on TV while i was going to my room

I was 16 in grade 11, it was the 1st week of school. I got out of first period around 10am and went outside to have a smoke, and my friend told me that a bomb went off at the UN building in NY, and then went to 2nd period and the teacher told us what actually happened. Decided to skip school for the rest of the day and go watch the news at my other friends house. When we were leaving school grounds, an ice cream truck had parked and i remember the vendor telling people that world war 3 had started. Went to my friends house and watched the news for a bit then played mario kart on snes until he kicked us out. Then i smoked a joint on the walk home.

Different times.

I was 11, in 5th grade

>microbrews
>needing a special word for beer not made by a conglomerate
beer, the word you're looking for is beer

I was two months away feom being 11 years old and i was playing n64 at my neighbors house (no school that day for whatever reason) and my friends parents got super serious face and told us something terrible happened. It was a cloudy day and we were young but understood this shit was fucked and the rest of the day was gloomy. I often get the same weird feel anytime i hear about natural deadly disasters around the world.

In kindergarten, got to stay home that day. Parents cheered that Americans were getting killed. Sent my older brothers to the Jihad two years later

I was coming back from school when I heard kalashnikov fires and youyous everywhere

Wasn't born yet
>this kills the millennial

I think I was in the car, on my way to 1st grade. Can't really remember, I was 6 years old.

MODS

I was only 10 so I didn't know about it until 2004 or so when I got internet and saw memes about it.

Based

School, I think. Could be a false memory

Was playing football

>I was only 10 so I didn't know about it until 2004
were you living under a rock?

I watched morning kid's cartoons on the TV before going to school (3rd grade I think). It was a Superman cartoon where some criminals attempted to hijack a plane. When I got to school the other kids were discussing some plane hijackings so naturally I asked them "so you watched today's Superman episode?"

I didn't exist probably?

celebrating in the street of Newark, NJ with my muslim immigrant parents.

Were things different before 9/11? I'm too young to rememver what things were like.

I don't know sorry

Based and Jihad pilled.

Watching Spider-Man the animated series and got a try that they interrupted it to show this boring shit

Fewer people died in car accidents. Now Americans are too scared to fly.

I'm sure I heard about it fleetingly at some point, but nothing I registered or had any particular recollection of. It didn't concern me and I was too preoccupied with lotr and doing sports to care about grey men in grey suits yapping on the evening news about what happened in some place I couldn't point to on a map.

I wasnt even 2 years old yet lmao

You didn't. Because it was afternoon here.

I remember a lot of the aftermath but I can't remember 9/11 itself

>his family couldn't afford satellite channels

You guys are assholes. It was already the afternoon and you guys couldn't even warn us about it?

I just came back from school, wanted to watch cartoons and eat some snacks, but every fucking channel was talking about this. So I went out to play football.
Now that I think about it, I didn't really give a fuck back then, but weirdly I do remember what I was doing that day.

I took a photo at that moment

Why would we ever stop the suffering of Goblins

On /b/ laughing my ass off with my fellow /b/astards.

I was play with my toys in the livingroom, I was 4. Remember seeing my grandma with her hand over her mouth

I was playing tony hawk on my ps1. I stayed home cause I had chicken pox at the time. I was 11.

Where are those two towers gone? They'd used to be popular, but I haven't seen them a while.

on a bridge in an undiclosed location.

feeding the ducks, freeing them of their burden of debt slavery.

Seems like a strong alibi, huh. I'll keep an eye on you, thoug.

In high school walking to math class.
>tfw when everybody laughed about it at first because the seriousness was not understood and we thought it was just some brainlet who accidentally flew his Cessna into the building

That's really cute

Yes, very much so, at least in America. The 90s was just pure unbridled optimism: the USSR had been defeated, nobody worried about China or Islamic extremism, it really did feel like the "end of history" with the US bestriding the world as an unassailable superpower and everybody living in peace and harmony under the new world order of liberal capitalism. Remember we also had the dot-com boom, decrease in crime from its highs in the 80s and 90s and the general prosperity and comfort of the Clinton years.

Honestly though if I had to pinpoint the time the 90s ended it wouldn't be 9/11, it would be Columbine. That event really rattled people with its viciousness and nihilism and gave us our first sense that there were still currents of discontent and hatred in the world. What the Manson Family was to the 60s Columbine was to the 90s imo.

You can get a good feel for the different mindset by watching the TV shows that were popular in the 90s (Friends, Seinfeld) versus the ones that were popular in the 2000s (The Office). The Sopranos also gives a good feel as the first couple seasons have a very different, carefree feel to the darker last seasons.

I felt nothing then and I feel nothing now.

....I was piloting a plane that day...

Also as an American the outpouring of sympathy from the rest of the world was very moving, I also feel bad because I know deep down that if/when something similar happens in a foreign country 99% of Americans either couldn't care less or would say the country deserved it for whatever dumb reason

I was at home, saw the planes fly into the towers on TV. Was in elementary back then. Good times.

tick tock your time is running out, boomer scum

At home

Grandmother was babysitting and had CNN on right when it happened and called me and my brother over. A Swede watching CNN in 2001 is pretty odd, but she had Jow Forums levels of obsession over American politics and we had all the American news channels on satellite for whatever reason

Fuck you you piece of shit

I want zoomers OUT

How nice

Based

I was a NEET during those days, sleeping in and didn't even find out until later in the evening.
I'm old as fuck

I just enjoyed the explosions, I was 10 and didn't give a fuck what the WTC was.
If they'd hit the statue of liberty I'd have been like "holy shit it's like Deus Ex!"
